Probably, yeah.so i guess its just good for a girl to have long hair, but its not a sin to cut it short.
I don't think hair length is much of an issue to God.
However, as an interesting note, I doubt Jesus had long hair.
1 Corinthians 11:14
Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering
Why would that be in the Bible if Jesus had long hair? There aren't really references in the Bible to what Jesus looked like when he was in human form.
Yes, it probably was somthing that was for that time only and applied, for certain reasons, for the people that lived then.No it isn't. There are certain parts of the hair that Jews are supposed to grow long, but unless you're a Jewish believer that doesn't apply to you. According to some interpretations of 1 Corinthians 11:5,6, and 15 women are always supposed to have long hair, but Scripture doesn't really define how long "long enough" would be. There's also the cultural context of those verses to consider, where if women didn't have their heads properly "covered" they would appear to be prostitutes and it just wouldn't be acceptable for a Christian woman to come to church dressed as a prostitute.
