I attended this church after attending one of their "campus ministry" church services at a college in Florida. I visited the churches' website but could not find any info on what they actually believe...with this said, I did a google search and a whole bunch of stuff came up about how they had ties with Maranatha Campus ministries which was in fact a cult during the 1980s and how many of the leaders from that cult are now part of the Every Nation Ministry, and how they are very controlling... I am looking for a church home but I do not know what to make of this church. I have only attended a couple of services, and met a couple of nice people there, but I'd rather know the truth in where I am attending, so that if it is false I can attend a church that preaches the truth. Does anyone know anything about this ministry? Please Help!!

There was a very good blog on how ENM came from Maranatha - how the person was brought into Maranatha and the things that he saw and did . Unfortunately , he has taken it down for now . I hope he puts it back up . Anyway , I was in a campus fellowship heavuly influenced by Maranatha leadership and it became a cult , as well .

For now , since you have doubts , stay away from it . You cannot go wrong doing that . :)

Maranatha Campus Ministries - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maranatha began in 1971 in Paducah, Kentucky as a youth center led by Bob Weiner, a former Assemblies of God youth pastor. It was an outreach of a California-based ministry called "Global Missions." Weiner and his wife, Rose, had helped lead a large revival in Paducah earlier that year. Many disenfranchised "60's" teens found a new expression of Christianity in the center located near Paducah Tilghman High School. Large numbers of students from the surrounding area also began attending.
