Howard Carter was one of the early pioneers of the Pentecostal movement in the UK. He was a prophetic teacher of the Word of God and wrote many books. Because of being a conscientious objector he spent time in prison where he studied the Bible concerning Spiritual Gifts. He had no other books but the Bible and received help from the Holy Spirit,which enabled him to provide good Bible teaching on Spiritual gifts,from (1 Corinthians 12 -14) which is still relevant today

Howard Carter became the Principal of Hampsted Bible School,which later transferred to Kenley,Surrey and now is at Mattersey,near Doncaster. He had a brother John Carter who was also Pentecostal pioneer and Bible Teacher. He was a tutor when I went to Mattersey in 1976. Both served as Pastors in Assemblies of God and made a valuable contribution to the Pentecostal movement worldwide.
