Good day everyone!

I was wondering if anyone can give me some sound and detailed explanation of how to pray the rosary. As some of you may know who have been following me, I am beginning my journey to Catholicism, and Christ. However, I am still struggling with sin and I think by praying the rosary everyday I can begin to understand what it means to be a follower of Christ, and have a deeper relationship with God and the Blessed Mother. So if anyone can help it would sincerely be appreciated!

Thank you, and God bless

You are on the right track to pray to Jesus every day to overcome your struggles, for He said "Pray that you enter not into temptation, for the spirit is willing and the flesh weak". Meaning that as we spend time with Jesus he strengthens us internally, and our desire for sin becomes less.

However to be honest I would advise you against Catholicism, due to the false teachings that prevail with in the church, things such as purgatory (which is not biblical). Mary is not to be prayed to, the bible no where states that we are to pray to nor through Mary. The bible tells us there is only one mediator or go between between us and God and that is Jesus Christ.

You would probably be better served posting over in One Bread, One Body (the Catholic forum). Otherwise you can expect uninformed posts from non-Catholics as your reply.

I recommend the Rosary Center. That's the website I used when I first began praying the Rosary, and I memorized all of the prayers within about a week. It also tells you which mysteries to pray on which days (today were the Joyful mysteries, tomorrow are the Sorrowful, etc.). You also have the option to become a member of the rosary confraternity, and by doing so, you will benefit from the prayers of all other members (we are asked to pray for each other as one of our rosary intentions). Good luck!

I know this wasn't posted in OBOB, but this isn't what the OP was asking.
