I live in East Asia, and to be honest, I don't think the majority of Europeans and Americans on this forum can provide good advice, because I've heard that the academic pressure in Europe and America is very low. I often can't sit still and listen attentively, and my brain seems to be in a mess

Philippians Chapter 4 comes to mind. Give it a read and apply the concepts.

In general, the more you can replace the reflex to worry with the reflex to faith or act in faith towards God, the more effective you will be towards dealing with stress.

Academic pressure may be pretty bad in Asia compared to the rest of the world, but Paul has it worse. Paul was not only persecuted by unbelievers but treated badly by most churches he helped plant. He truly had nowhere to rest his head.

So if you improve this aspect a little bit every day, you should start seeing results.

Educational rigor may not be as advantageous as you would think. Being pushed to the limit to be able to regurgitate information to pass a test may not be the best way to actually learn. Yes, the standards are low in the US, but the solution may not be increasing intensity of a poor system. We homeschooled our children and took a view that if learning is kept enjoyable children grow as life long learners always seeking to learn more about many subjects. We had observed many children become apathetic and adverse to learning as early as elementary school and even remain so after they left school.

John Taylor Gatto wrote some interesting books questioning the traditional approach to education. Basically learning is what you do and education is what is done to you. The unidirectional transmission of information tends to increase the likelihood that a child will grow to accept as truth whatever they are told. Industrial processing of children also serves the needs of the state for a stable group of compliant components that can be directed more easily to do what they are told.

Some find an apprenticeship a better career path because the learning is more hands on, practical, and useful.
