Matthew 6:
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good,
your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Rather than ask whether or not a believer can be possessed, a better question is "can they be deceived?"
And if a believer abides and defends a false teaching, they are under the influence of that stronghold.
A believer who abides in darkness is in spiritual blindness.

John 9:
39 And Jesus said, For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see,
and that those who see may be made blind.
40 Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words,
and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”
41 Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin;
but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

1 Corinthians 4:4 For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this;
but He who judges me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing (no one) before the time, until the Lord comes,
who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness,
and reveal the counsels of the hearts.

Then each one’s praise will come from God.

I would like to mention an experience of mine involving darkness. I was a medic in the Army on a field exercise in Germany, in deep woods, no moon, clouds. dark as the inside of a coal mine, at midnight. A soldier came to me saying he felt very sick. I took his temperature and it was very high. I decided to take him to the base hospital. The headquarters tent was behind me about the 50 yard line. I started walking toward the tent to tell the commander what I was doing. Walking along toward a small light holding my hands in front of me to avoid bumping into a tree. A soldier walking toward me was listening to a transistor radio. As he got near to me, from the radio, "We interrupt this program for this important announcement. President Kennedy has been shot." When I got to the command tent it was in an uproar. The solider had pneumonia and stayed in the hospital
