House Church Directory

You brother know that GOD is building HIS Church (us) and not building buildings, and worldly business like organizations as HE isn't after money or power but after hearts.

The directory would be a good thing. There are some places online that are all about 'house church', but don't understand GRACE (as it is all about HIS LOVE and GRACE, and I know you get that too).

We've been enjoying 'house church' for a few years now, and we move it around as the LORD have us move (from house to house). But for a while we started talking and sharing the 'house church' message, and GOD told me to 'stop' and so with prayer, we didn't get together for 2 months (we usually get together every other week).

What happened?

Don't lose sight of the Message of the Gospel of GRACE lifting up JESUS and nothing or no one else.

The house church is the conduit or the platform where HIS LOVE can work on hearts drawing all men to HIMSELF.

For us, Lesson Learned!

As for the directory, I would be on it with you, but to distinguish between real house church and institutional groups meeting in houses. That would take the SPIRITS Discernment.

But I'm with you, it is needed and growing!

I really appreciate your help and support as I try to understand house gatherings and worship. I've always known church to be the body of Christ not the building, but it is so difficult, especially in America, to understand house churching. I've even had my mother-in-law who is a Pentecostal minister, tell us that we need to be in church (meaning the building/institutional). My wife is with me in the house church idea for the most part, but it is a blessing and actually quite refreshing. I'm learning more how to operate in that environment, but don't know of many house churches in my area to link with for fellowship and support. Any ideas? I tried the house church directory website but there was nothing there for my area of NC, USA.

Yes, Southronlady! One needs to be careful about looking for a style rather than "all the counsel of God" ---right?

Yes, there is a great difference between cell groups (small gatherings in homes as part of a "mother church" elsewhere), and a Bible-only gathering which may or not meet in a home, but holds to Scripture rather than the innovations of various denominated sects. Perhaps the best directory I know is such as found through Bible Truth Publishers, Addison, Il; and one can also read about such fellowship at the biblecounsel site on the Internet --not taking a name and creeds, etc. There are those small gatherings everywhere in the world that stand apart from sectarianism and study the Bible together as a "holy" and "royal priesthood" (note 1 Pet. 2). It might be worth looking into.
