When I had been struggling with the issue of the papacy, I found this via the aid of some friends on Fisheaters. It helped to quell some of my uneasiness surrounding the Papacy and issue of Petrine Primacy. Also, being, as I attend oftentimes the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom, I find it telling, that the reviser of this ancient Liturgy, Patriarch and Archbishop of Constantinople, affirms the chief authority of Blessed Peter, here in his homily. It was quite surprising; particularly as St John Chrysostom, was one of the last of whom, I should have expected to support in any manner, the Chief authority of St Peter over that of the other apostles.

I like Chrysostom's writings. I hope that his writings can help bring the EOC and RCC and OOC in full union again.

Jesus puts into his hands the chief authority among the brethren
