Hi! I just discovered this forum and found it respectful and interesting. I look forward to learning more from others here.

I'm an LDS-Christian, or Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sometimes nicknamed "Mormon."

This year, I'm doing a deep dive study of the Old Testament, using especially the NSRV Cultural Study Bible, and find it very interesting. I teach a 17-year old Sunday school class on this topic . I hope others here can help and share understanding and application of Biblical teachings.

I also have studied much about scriptural roots of the temple, and have written a book, "The Temple in Scripture," with an accompanying website at The Temple in Scripture. While I believe modern day temples are very different from ancient temples in actual symbols used, I find the purpose the same: to remind us of the atonement and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I would value any feedback on this site or book. I also look forward to connecting with others who have studied Biblical roots of temple worship, or ancient tabernacle and temple rites and symbolism.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you will find what you are looking for here. Searching for the word “temple” might be a good place to start.

As part of my studies of Ezekiel I believe I’ve looked through the ancient temple layouts, and I found it to be fascinating research.

You may be interested in the story of my mother falling down the stairs of a Mormon temple when it was under construction as well. Since I know about these, it would be interesting to see how the ancient temples in Israel compare to Mormon temples in the modern era.

Hi there glad you made it here. The Temple huh? We are the Temple of God, a habitation of God through His Spirit. The Body of Christ, Him being the head, the chief cornerstone
