I seem to have lost my file on gimmel, so for now I'll go on to dalet:

First of all the word DALET actually MEANS door in Hebrew.
It comes from the ROOT "dalah" which means to "HANG DOWN" because in Biblical times many doors were like a tent door that hangs down. Because of the Hebrew thing with LIKE ACTIONS being related, other words like dal, dallah, dalal mean things like "sorrow, poor, weak, thin, be low in spirits" ..........in other words, any trial of PHYSICAL EXISTENCE, because all these things cause a person to HANG DOWN there head.

In order to have any REST or PEACE while in this PHYSICAL EXISTENCE, we must REST in CHRIST. We must learn, while living in THIS realm, to at the same time, REST in Christ in other realm.....and Christ is the DOOR to that other realm....."come to me, all ye who are heavy laden, and I will give you REST"

In other words........walk according to the SPIRIT NOT according to the FLESH!

BIRTH is seen as the DOOR to PHYSICAL EXISTENCE. The dalet is the 4th letter and is used for the number 4. Four is also the number of PHYSICAL EXISTENCE or EARTHLY things...........Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the FOUR corners of the earth, holding the FOUR winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

...............FOUR............POOR...........DOOR

The WORD for FOUR in Hebrew is "arba" and it comes from a word that means to "REST or lay down on all fours".

One word that has the same gematria value as the word DALET is the word "talade" which means "to bear or give birth"!! AND.........the first time it is used in all of scripture, it is about the SORROW of woman in childbearing!...Gen 3:16:

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth(talade) children.....

..................

Now this was the part that was really exciting. When I looked to see what the very first word in scripture was that begins with a DALET, the word is "desha" and it means "green grass". Now this was the first time that what I was finding did not SEEM to go with the rest of the study. So I just put this aside, and in the very next step of the study came the answer. I started to look up all the verses where Christ talks about being the DOOR.........the first one I look up was John 10:9:
Jhn 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find PASTURE.

Then all kinds of verses came to mind, like Ps 23:2

..........He maketh me to lie down in.........YUP!...desha (green pastures). Then I remembered...we had just been in Russia where even the poorest folk had a litte "dasha" in the country. It was a small hut and a little square of land where they could grow something GREEN and get some REST from the city life.

.................

The very first time the letter dalet is found in any word in the Bible is in the FOURTH verse of Genesis. It is the FOURTH action taken by God (to divide between the light and dark) and it is the FOURTH letter of that word.

....................

In the mystery verse of the NT. (I Cor 2:7-16....the mystery is that we have received, NOT the spirit of this WORLD, but the spirit which is of God.
..........................

The fourth feast is the feast of PENTECOST.......the BIRTH of the church and the giving of the SPIRIT.........!!

*!*!*!*!*!**!

OH! I almost forgot.....now read this verse and see if it isn't a little more meaningful:

Mar 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
