I will check this one out when I get home from work. Also, one of my taxi drivers has been going through a rough morning due to her health and she had to be taken to the ambulance, so pray for her.

Brandon Lake is a good artist.

Alright, this is a really good one. Goes to show that Christian music can still be good in 2024. This gives me strong indie/folk vibes. Very soulful style of lyrics.

Just as the lyrics say God is slow to anger, Psalm 103 says the same. This is something I need to work on, judging others less, and being more patient with people.

Psalm 103:8 (ESV): "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love."

“GRAMMY®-Award Winning singer/songwriter Brandon Lake has achieved yet another milestone with his brand-new hit ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah,'” a press release announced. “The song debuted as #1 on the Christian/Gospel Songs Chart, #1 on the Christian/Gospel On-Demand Audio Streaming and Christian/Gospel On-Demand Overall Streaming charts, as well as #1 on the All-genre Digital Song Sales chart.”

“HARD FOUGHT HALLELUJAH #1 ON ALL GENRES?! THANK YOU FAM,” Lake posted.

Since its release on Nov. 8, “Hard Fought Hallelujah” has already reached 7 million official U.S. streams, according to Billboard. “This marks Lake’s fourth single to hit #1 in a record amount of time,” the press release noted.

“I am blown away by the response this song has received in such a short time,” said Lake. “It’s insane to see what God can do with just one song. My prayer is that this song reminds everyone who our God is — a ‘mountain movin’, body raising, breaker of chains!’”

The singer recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of the song’s creation. Pastor Steven Furtick films as the team listens to the song in the studio.

“The day Hard Fought Hallelujah was born,” Lake captioned the post. “What an honor to have written this alongside some of my most gifted friends & mentors.”

Brandon Lake is blowin' up the charts, this is pretty cool. He is a millennial (born in 1990), so it makes me happy when young folks can make an impact on an entire generation. I am gonna bet that in a decade from now, there will be a movie about Brandon Lake just as there was a movie about the DC Talk back in 2002. If DVDs still exist in 2035, I will watch that film.

By the way, Brandon Lake is a miracle child according to his parents, as his mom had 6 failed births (miscarriages). Thank God for Brandon Lake for being alive to write Christian music that glorifies God's one and only Son, Jesus.
