I know this isn't exactly a question about Catholic beliefs, but does anyone have a reasonably reliable Spanish translation of the Hail Mary? In particular, insofar as they're different, one in Mexican Spanish rather than Castillian (sp?)?

My wife's webcomic needs someone to say the Hail Mary, and he'd say it in Spanish.

I found this online, but I don't know for sure if its Mexican Spanish

El Ave María
Dios te salve, María;
llena eres de gracia;
el Señor es contigo;

Hi seebs,

I expect Jill's version will be fine. I have heard that there is less difference between latin american Spanish and Castillian than there is between UK and US English. And even in English there is the old King James type Hail Mary ( blessed art thou ...) and a more modern version ( blessed are you ... ) and have heard both used by Americans.

Credo said:

This is the version I have heard many times on the Catholic radio station here. :)

Peace in Him!
