I would just like to offer a different viewpoint from a lot of the advice offered here.
First I would just like to direct your eyes to God's Word:
Acts 2:45-47:
45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Romans 14:4-6:
4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
I cannot fully agree with the idea that you can worship God simply in your own home. If you look at the early church model (which I feel the American Church is straying further and further away from), the believers always made sure to spend time together in sharing meals and praising God together. Unfortunately in our busy generation, that time gets limited mostly to Sundays. If your weekends are your only free time, at least for Sunday I would definitely suggest in keeping in contact with other Christians and your church.
I don't want to say for certain, but if you feel guilty about missing Church and you feel that you should go, (at least for you that's sin to not go). I want you to understand the Romans 14 concept very carefully. This is not a verse to abuse and sin whatever way you like because you don't feel guilty about something. In certain situations God has specifically blessed us in certain ways (including feeling guilty about certain things) to help lead us in the right direction. (example: my brother loves music, but to the point that it has almost become idolatry for him, and for him if he continues listening to it and prioritizing it over God, then for him music becomes sin).
I'm not saying either that you should abandon your old friends. No way, definitely look for times to hang out and catch up with them. As for drinking (there are different views on that), but as long as you don't get drunk and you're doing it for casual fellowship, it's not a great evil. But I encourage you to value that Sunday fellowship with other Christians, it's a very valuable time that God has given to you.
1 Corinthians 10
23 "Everything is permissible"but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"but not everything is constructive. 24 Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. 25 Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, 26 for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it."
27 If some unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience. 28 But if anyone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it, both for the sake of the man who told you and for conscience' sake 29 the other man's conscience, I mean, not yours. For why should my freedom be judged by another's conscience? 30 If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?
31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 32 Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God 33 even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.
