I need to write a Thank You note to my Godmother. Does anyone know the non-cyrillic spelling of the Greek word for Godmother? ...something like noona? And what about the Greek word for the Godparent's family...Koumbarri? or something like that?

It's all Greek to this mostly German mutt!

Thanks

Yup for Godmother it's nouna sometimes pronounced nona. And, Yup the Godparent's family are koumbari (which is plural for koumbaros-masculine koumbara-feminine), and the best man at a wedding is a koumbaros (Usually the Best Man baptises the first born child of a marriage, which is the reson for the same word)
