The first Christian Black Metal (CBM) band I ever got into was a band called Skald - in veum. This is Swedish, which can be roughly translated as "Poet in Sanctuary."

CBM is one of the most hated genres in music. Why? Because the Christians don't like them for being "demonic," and the Satanists don't like them for being Christian. It is a very niche interest if you are into this kind of music. Some in the Christian genre of Black Metal will tear apart and burn Satanic Bibles.

I want to first point out the nature of CBM from the lyrics of the song by Skald - in veum from the title track, "Stridslysten" which is translated "Contentious."

"Truth is the name I am given
Truth is a fire
Truth can not assume
Truth can not believe
Truth can not bargain"

In the wise words of Heth Svart, lyricist for Skald - in veum, "The Truth does not think so. The Truth knows so."

This song speaks of the sin in our culture today, with Christ as the redeemer.

Another CBM band that I really like. They have had I think three releases only. An EP, a collab, and a full length. All are great IMO.
