Glistening eyes- what does that mean?

If a guy looks at you with glistening or sparkling eyes, what do you think it means?

In my experience in means he either
a. likes you -this of course depends on how he is looking at you with those glistening eyes.

b. he is spirit filled and thats what your seeing.

I've been told by many people young and old male and female that my eyes sparkle or have sparkled, but it had nothing to do with lust or liking those people, as I didn't. lol. then I've had others tell me they can see the sparkle when I'm looking at or talking about my past bfs. So its all in whats going on at the time I suppose, you have to be able to tell if its 'wow I like her' look, or simply their personality or the holy spirit!

I had a guy tell me once that my eyes sparkled when I was talking about my kids to him. He said he thought it was awesome b/c it meant that I felt very strongly about my kids. Which, of course, I do!

I think our eyes "sparkle" any time we talk about something that we're passionate about or have strong feelings about - it can convey love, but not necessarily romantic love (altho it could be romantic, too).

People that are on drugs tend to have "glassy" eyes - which is different than "glistening or sparkling" eyes.

Well, I was thinking he likes me and excited to see me..but he could be just tired and a bit teary..

Actually he is not a Christian so he cant be spirit filled..

out of curiosity...why not? is it possible that a guy could find you attractive and have glistening eyes evertime he sees you?

doesn't mean it has to be lust or anything.

could also mean he's tired, been drinking alcohol, on drugs, have some eye problem. possibilities are out there when you don't know for sure eh?

Well, when I read a phrase that says a guy's eyes are glistening, I tend to think of them being teary. So, if that guy is talking to you, I would think it's simply a meaningful look he's giving you. He's wearing his heart on his sleeve. He's being earnest and filled with emotion.

When I read a phrase that says a guy's eyes are sparkling, I immediately think "mischeivous". He's got something up his sleeve. He's trying very hard not to burst out laughing or grin mischeivously. He's excited about something he wants to share with you. He's passionate about what you and he are talking about. He's teasing and flirting with you. Any of those things.

Just my thoughts.

Hmm, thanks for your insights I always thought glistening and sparkling are the same thing.. But maybe i should be referring to glistening it seems he might of been probably giving me a meaningful look.

or it may have nothing to do with anything. it's best not to jump to conclusions. listen to what he says, and pay attention to what he does.
