I'm surprised I've never noticed this sooner...

So, as we very well know, many Protestant "translations" of the Bible mistranslate Genesis 3:15. Most of these Protestant "translations" mistranslate Genesis 3:15 to mean "he" or "it," as we can see below. The problem with this is that the word in Hebrew is ה֚וּא, which, according to Strong, means "he, she, it, that, this." "That" is used in Genesis 2:11; "he" is used in Genesis 2:13; and "she" is used in Genesis 3:12. St. Jerome translated 'ipsa,' meaning her. As we very well know, the Douay-Rheims is not wrong, everyone else is, and this is all-the-more confirmed by the Church.

According to the ex cathedra statement 'Ineffabilis Deus,' promulgated infallibly by Pope Bl. Pius IX: "Hence, just as Christ, the Mediator between God and man, assumed human nature, blotted the handwriting of the decree that stood against us, and fastened it triumphantly to the cross, so the most holy Virgin, united with him by a most intimate and indissoluble bond, was, with him and through him, eternally at enmity with the evil serpent, and most completely triumphed over him, and thus crushed his head with her immaculate foot." Moreover, in an even more direct manner: "As if these splendid eulogies and tributes were not sufficient, the Fathers proclaimed with particular and definite statements that when one treats of sin, the holy Virgin Mary is not even to be mentioned; for to her more grace was given than was necessary to conquer sin completely. They also declared that the most glorious Virgin was Reparatrix of the first parents, the giver of life to posterity; that she was chosen before the ages, prepared for himself by the Most High, foretold by God when he said to the serpent, “I will put enmities between you and the woman.” Unmistakable evidence that she crushed the poisonous head of the serpent." Finally, "All our hope do we repose in the most Blessed Virgin — in the all fair and immaculate one who has crushed the poisonous head of the most cruel serpent and brought salvation to the world..."

This was an infallible statement made by Pius IX, promulgated on December 8, 1854, made ex cathedra and is therefore considered to be infallible through the extraordinary magisterium. Here are a few examples of this error, note that the incorrect translation for ה֚וּא (masculine) will be blue, and the translation for ה֚וּא (common) will be red, any correct translation for ה֚וּא (feminine) will be purple]:

You can see here that all of the Bible Hub (biblehub.com) versions of Genesis 3:15 that are recorded [lay 3] state "he" or "it". Again, this was an infallible statement made by Pius IX, promulgated on December 8, 1854, made ex cathedra and is therefore considered to be infallible through the extraordinary magisterium. I don't think I need to explain this, but the Pope, when he speaks ex cathedra, is preserved from the possibility of error on doctrine "initially given to the apostolic Church and handed down in Scripture and tradition" (Cf. Avery Dulles, S.J.). Therefore, as the Holy Spirit guided the Pope in defining this doctrine, all translations that do not follow the feminine ה֚וּא in Genesis 3:12 are not valid translations of the Bible, and do not provide actualized spiritual gain.

This invalidates most, if not all, Protestant and Reformed in general translations of the Bible, further proving that only the Vulgate is trustworthy in providing accurate scripture, and only one who uses an English translation based solely on the Vulgate can fully understand Scripture, and thus only those who use the 1609 Douay-Rheims Bible, the official English Bible of the Church, can fully understand the Bible, and thus actualizes the salvific graces that come with the knowledge of Scripture.

What do you think?
