Here are my responses:
Q: If you could spend the day with anyone from the bible, who would it be?
A: Oh that's easy-- GOD! lol (or the man Jesus, his personality seems pretty interesting). Yes there are some very wise and interesting people in the bible that I repsect very much, but God and Jesus are the ones I would most love to speak to in person.
Q: If they offered to show you an biblical place or event, what would you want to see?
A: Either the nativity, or some of christ's more popular miracles, or the resurection.
Q: If they promised to answer ANY and ALL you quesitons, what would you ask?
A: Wow... Um, probably some of the things in the bible that confuse me a little (like what exactly did it mean when a man presented Jesus with an example of a brother dying and his wife going to his surviving brother-- he asked who's wife she would be in heaven, and Jesus said "there will be no giving or recieving of marriage in heaven" or something to that effect... Does that mean there's no marriages there?? And I might ask about the future, and what exactly to be prepared for/what to expect... also lots of philisophical questions. It would basically be like a chapter from a Richard Back book, lol.
Q: If they decided to play "genie" for the day and offered to grant you ONE wish (no matter how far-fetched), what would you wish for?
A: That I could see him/speak to him this way whenever I need want to, for the rest of my life, lol. I know many people might wish for world peace, or to be rich, or for them and all their family members to be imortal... But this life is a test, and world peace is meant to happen in the afterlife, not this one. And riches cannot follow you to heaven. Also if you never die, you never go to heaven. But if I could see/hear/speak to god in person regularly, there wouldn't be very many thigns int his world that could fritghen me. In his shadow, I can stand even the hottest sun. Holding his hand, I can face even the most terrifying and troublesome things. I honestly think that would be the most useful blessin I could ask for.
Q: Do you think it would be better if the entire world found out beyond any reasonable doubt that God did in fact exist? Why/why not?
A: Hmmmmm... Well, it might be soothing for ME, but everything is not all about me. We're here to be tested (in faith and by our actions). And we can't show our true selves or be challenged, we can't even sin against others (and in turn be judged for it), unless we are allowed to do as we wish. Of course, I hate that fact, because that's why people get kidnapped, murdered, etc. But if nobody is allowed to sin, how can you know who is good or bad?
Q: Some people are afraid to be "judged" or to go to heaven because they haven't exactly been a saint all their life. Are you afraid?
A: In all honesty? Yes. I've done some pretty rotton and embarrassing things in the past, but I'm still fundamentally a good person. And being judged doesn't scare me NEARLY as much as going to hell does, or the thought of no god. So I'm willing to make the trade.
Q: How about God-- are you afraid of God himself? Or do you consider him more someone you can really open up to and be honest with?
A: Well, yes and no to both. On one hand, I would never DARE challenge god, or disrepsect him. That would be like a mouse sticking its tongue out at an eagle! lol. Yes, in the heat of the moment, I have lost my tempter in the past and smarted off when I wasn't thinking clearly, but I think he understands that (or at least I hope? lol). And I've appologized, which I hope he will accept. Yet on the other hand, he's been in my heart since I was a child. I've had subcincious conversations with him all my life. How can you not love and adore someone who's been there with you like that your whole life? How can you not have a deeply-rooted attachment? I mean, he has an amazing sense of humor, he's so wise its incredible, and he's the reason for continued existance or happiness after death. He's our counsel, our guide... And while we don't always understand or agree with him, he understands and loves us. I feel like most of the time, when bad things are happening and we ask him why, he says, "This life is so short! Compared to the eternity, this life is a dream in the mind of a flea. When its over, you will be so happy to be with me and your loved ones forever, you'll forget all about the things that happend on earth." and that makes sense, so sure I love him. Sure he's my "buddy" in a way, lol.
Q: Do you trust God (meaning without hesitation)? Would you do WHATEVER he told you, with no questions, and trust int he fact that he has everyone's best interest in mind?
A: 99.99% of the time I would. And even that little doubtful percent, I would try to pray for reasurence that it was him telling me, and not someone else. I trust him never to actually make me go through with something evil, because he's not evil. He's good.
Q: Have you ever seen a miracle, or anything close to it (devine experiences, etc)? If so, please share it!
A: Quite a few, yes. A fire that burned over 2,000 acres, comming close to our home (started by some guy throwing a lit cigarette in the brush) and praying for it not to destroy our home.... and the heaviest rain I've ever seen suddenly comming, putting the fire out just before it reached our house. Also healing miracles, and praying that my own health problem wasn't too serious--- and I turned out mostly ok. Praying for a good recovery after my da'ds surgery, and it comming true. So yeah, I've seen a few miracles. But I've noticed that god doesn't just hand out miracles on a silver platter, for nothing in return (which he shouldn't). He usually asks that you meet him halfway-- either by at least taking the time to pray respectfully, or go to the doctor and take te doctor's advice. Or something to that effect.
