Ack! I can't take this anymore,...I've been knitting or trying to knit for Myanmar, and my squares are coming up all different sizes and I'm keeping my stitches uniform and not changing needles, ugh! Oh well gonna take a break and try another project.

Well I found a few good links for some NICE patterns that are actually modern and not "granny-ish" Now if only I can read em/pull em off lol.

Anyways, all that aside here are a few links I found with free knitting and crochet patterns available. Have fun!

Berroco
Bernat
Knitpicks
Coats&Clark
Patons
ModaDea
Knitty
LionsBrand
KnittingPatternCentral

Anyways this is what I have so far for knitting patterns. LOL a lot I know. I think I might start with a simple shrug lol maybe I can actually DO that lol.

Is there any website that helps you to read knitting patterns? I have no idea how to read them so I can never make anything but scarves :o

I would be happy to try and help you understand patterns over the phone if that would help. It comes with practice and to be honest some patterns are not well written and take some figuring out. Feel free to pm me :)

Ravelry is great. I mentioned a problem there once about a problem I was having with the sleeves on a cardigan and the designer herself replied. Links to thousands of knit & crochet patterns, both free and for sale, for just about anything you can think of to make with yarn and a few things you might not think of. There are lots of helpful people willing to help beginners. You do have to join in order to read posts.

Crochetville is another good resource for crocheters. Also gourmetcrochet, crochetme, chezcrochet, freepatterns....I don't knit, but I know there are as many, if not more, free knitting patterns floating around out there on the internet. All the yarn companies have websites with free patterns. Amazon is a good place to look for instruction books if you would rather look at a book than watch a Youtube tutorial.

I'm a member of Crochetville and Ravelry. I find Ravelry so helpful!
