Dr. Renjan Matthew and scholar Dr. Susan Ashbrook Harvey, the Willard Prescott and Annie McClelland Smith Professor of History and Religion at Brown University, who specializes in Syriac Studies. Dr. Susan Ashbrook Harvey is the author of many books and journal articles, among them Holy Women of the Syrian Orient (co-authored with Dr. Sebastian P. Brock, 1998) and Asceticism and Society in Crisis: John of Ephesus and the Lives of the Eastern Saints (UC Press, Berkeley 1990).
