  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So exactly 30 days ago, I started a rather aggressive and ambitious Bible Reading plan. One that I developed myself. The plan would see whoever completes it, read through the entire Bible in just 30 days.

Today, just now actually, I finished this plan. You start the plan reading about creation (Genesis 1), the birth of Christ (Matthew 1), and the foundation of all wisdom, the scriptures and the fear of the LORD (Psalm 1 and Proverbs 1).

You end the plan learning about the death and resurrection of Christ (John 18-21), the return of Jesus (Zechariah, Malachi, and Revelation 22), Judgement (Revelations 19-20), the New Jerusalem (Revelation 20-21), and the praise of God (Psalm 150).

It has been such a blessing!!!! I can't even describe the joy I feel for having received grace enough to complete this.

If you'd like to take on the challenge, here is the link to my reading plan. It's laid on a day by day basis, so you can start it right away, just go one day at a time.
