I think there are a lot of areas in that video that video where I strongly agree with the author of that video.

But "the gap theory" that it starts with is only dealing with one version of the "gap theory".

The one I believe is that while there an over arching statement in vs 1 "God created everything". There is a transition from vs 1 to vs 3 where the start of Earth's - day 1, has the water already covering the "Surface of the deep". The creation account does not include "let there be water' and it does not have "let there be a surface for Earth to be covered by water" .

To the author's credit it also does not have "And God flooded a fully formed Earth, started over, and then water covered the surface of the deep".

Genesis 1 is the description of the literal 7 day week when the Earth was formed, the sun created, the moon created and all life on Earth created after the Earth is formatted for life on days 1-2..

In Matt 23 and Is 5:4 we see that God allows what He does not command/ordain. The wicked are not "obeying God" in their wickedness.
If they were - then they would not need to repent. So here is an area where I differ with the video. See the 15 minute point of the vid.
