In 1997, while on a trip to the Mars Pathfinder operations center in California, Jackson Lee asked if the Pathfinder had succeeded in taking a picture of the flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969.
The Constitution Is 400 Years Old and More Pearls From Sheila Jackson Lee

While there, according to an article by Sandy Hume in The Hill, a weekly newspaper that covers Congress, Jackson Lee asked if the Pathfinder succeeded in taking pictures of the American flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969.

Was some of that still going on with her interaction with Matt Whitaker this week?
Are we missing something?

Maybe there is something to that alternate universe -- multiverse idea after all.

Same questioner - now asks Whitaker if he has appeared before congress before and he says he is acting A.G. and has never been asked to appear before congress - never appeared before congress before.

To which the response was "is that a yes or no?..." then mumbles "never appeared before ..." --
'Your Humor Is Not Acceptable': Dem Rep. Jackson Lee Snaps at Whitaker During Hearing

I am pretty sure this is their winning strategy given (as they say) that we had astronauts on mars in 1969.

I just finished a 14 hour shift so I'm pretty tired, but what are you talking about Neil Armstrong and Mars for?

Whitaker had her so mad she was fit to be tied. She would ask a question and was wanting him to answer "Yes or No" instead of letting him answer the question fully/properly, the whole thing was hilarious.

But when she said "have you appeared before congress.. have you appeared before congress for an oversight hearing" and Whitaker says "I am acting Attn Gen and blabla I have never appeared before congress for any hearing - even when I was United States Attorney " -- and what is the "response to that"???

Hilarious !! "I asked for a yes-or-no answer is that?" "yea?...ah..let me um... and so you've never appeared..."

Back to astonauts on Mars??

then "let me ask you the next question did you discuss or share your private opinion..."

Ok so remember this is in an effort to find out if Russia and Trump conspired to rig a U.S. election...and this explains the laser focus on whether Whitaker "discussed or shared his private opinion of the special council investigation with chief of staff... Trump family...AND OTHERS... yes or no?"

By adding "and others" then the scope changes to any human on the planet to which Whitaker ever expressed a private opinion on anything going on with the special investigation" is now... the laser focus...

somebody's fishing for a process crime.. ... again. Nothing like baiting them to misstate something. If the person slips up - then you can file charges and maybe convict regardless if anything at all pertains to the actual issue of collusion to rig a U.S. Election.

Some folks are going to say to themselves "wow! This is good! How can we get more?". But a lot of those folks will be citizens of other countries.

I'm pretty sure they wanted to establish that he's been interfering with the Mueller witch hunt, probably because it's not turning up much of anything. This way they can use the DOJ "interference/obstruction of justice" spiel as an excuse as to why it's turning nothing up and as a justification to expand/continue the witch hunt. Wanting access to Trumps tax returns is part of the expansion...

There wasn't any confirmation that Jackson-Lee made that statement. The story gives sources which deny they told Hume that.

I had no idea who she was before reading this thread. But I did know she was black, because it's almost expected for Trump supporters to mock the intelligence of Black women opponents of theirs .

Honestly, who cares who (may have) planted what flag where? Putting a flag on the moon or Mars doesn't mean that the U.S has claimed it as their own. Nobody "owns" the moon.

The person who claims she said that wasn't actually there. And everybody who was in the room deny she said it. So yes, no proof.
