Ephesians 4:29-32​

King James Version​

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.(Do not quench the work of His Holy Spirit who has started His good work in you )
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. (Consciously and completely reject any desire to harm others.)
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.( This is self- explanatory)

29 - Don't gossip
30 - accept the works of the holy spirit
31 - don't think or act badly toward others
32 - but think and do good toward others.

This is a word of admonishment.
It is by your words you will be judged.

Matthew 12:
36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak,
they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
37 For by your words you will be justified,
and by your words you will be condemned.

The Bible tells us that the tongue can be like a whip lash, and can injure and cause harm, and our own innermost feelings can influence what we say, and the way that we say it: such as bitterness, and wrath, and anger.: All of these things grieve the Holy Spirit, along with clamour, and evil speaking, malice and morally corrupt communication.

The Holy Spirit desires what proceeds from us to be borne of kindness: with tenderhearted responses, and forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us.
