Ephesians 4-26

In this generation we live a life that is demanding. We work, we provide, we have rent to pay, mortgages, bills and the general grind of needing to provide and most of the time keeping everyone happy. With life’s pressures it’s very easy to wake up in a bad mood, or misunderstand what someone said, or we are usually tired and can become angry at each other. It’s very easy to feel our emotions and act on them because that is what feels most natural to do. It’s okay to have emotions, we are born with emotion, without emotion how can we feel what’s right or wrong? But the wrong kind of emotion tends to take over, when a loved one, or a friend rubs us up the wrong way. We get angry and generally won’t speak to that person for a period of time or even for a few days. It’s important to not stay angry and make amends with that person, why? Because Satan is just itching to find any type of excuse to meddle in our lives. When we get angry and take things out on our loved ones, Satan looks to strike. He plays on our emotions and makes us think we are in the right and that it’s okay to to feel the way we do further forcing us to double down on the way we are feeling. Why did Jesus say we must forgive, show mercy and to love each other? Number one because he showed us the same Mercy, love and forgiveness by dieng on the cross for us taking away the sins of the world. Number two he set a example for us on how to treat each other and because Number three Jesus knew how important it was to love and forgive , he knew the total opposite to that is to fall into Satan’s temptation which he does not want for us.Satan will tell us it’s okay to feel this way, you are right, they don’t love you, how could they do this to you, they don’t deserve your forgiveness. Jesus tells us, turn the other cheek, forgive, make the first move, put your pride aside, love eachother. Jesus showed us when he was God in flesh that even he prayed to the father to fight off temptation from Satan, when Jesus was tired or when he was frustrated or when he felt emotional he would pray to his father for strength and guidance so that he doesn’t act on his emotions. This again Is Jesus showing us real life examples on what to do when we are feeling emotions. It’s important to know that we usually get angry at each other for what is meaningless. nothing in this world is worth gepodising our love for one another and most importantly our love for God. God gives us and blesses us with what he thinks is necessary for what we need. What is necessary? Necessary is something to be used for in the present time which then becomes unnecessary. It becomes unnecessary because in the final days whatever was necessary won’t be of use for in the kingdom of heaven. However we can store up what’s good in our hearts things that are of use in heaven, fruits of Gods kingdom, love, and mercy, forgiveness and kindness.. these fruits you cannot see but it’s what we cannot see that becomes necessary and what we can see becomes the opposite. So the next time we get angry at a loved one, let’s think about what we are actually getting angry over and if it’s worth satan intervening in our lives. With anger comes pride and that’s a combination for disaster. Why did satan get kicked out of heaven? Because of pride. Which then made satan Angry! That is why when we anger and sin pride just flows right in their with it, because that’s satans Mix. But if we anger and run to God the way he wants us to,we can fight off any temptation through Prayer! And Gods word. If our answer does not come from the bible then any other answer we are receiving is from satan. That’s a easy way to discern what from what. So let’s make amends with each other and take back our power from Satan and lean on Gods power and his word so that we can weaken satan and give him no excuse to meddle in our lives. God is always waiting, he is faithful, he is our mentor, our councillor, our everything.

For it is written: Ephesians 4 26
In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down when you are angry.

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

There is translation work which says >

"Be angry and do not sin," in Ephesians 4:26.

This is like in Psalm 4:4. Take a look at this with the verses before it, in Psalm 4:1-4. The writer is talking to foolish and vain people who are doing wrong things. And to these people the writer is saying to be angry and not to sin.

I see he means to be angry against the bad things that they were doing and do what is good instead. So, it does not mean to be or to stay angry in some egotistical way. That, you have said, can spoil us from how we could be loving. That selfish and controlling anger is never good, never to be allowed to continue.

"the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." (in James 1:20)

Yes, it's so easy to get angry these days. I like meditating on those bible verses for when things do get a bit full on.
