Edgar Allan Poe. Was he christian?

I've been reading Egar Allen Poe complete stories and poems for about a week now and out of curiosity I been wondering, was he a christian. I find him very interesting and...perplex.
Does anyone know whether he was a christian or not? Like, in a autobiograghy has he mention any thing concerning his religious beliefs.

I think he was baptized as a christian, and he has himself a bible . .

His theology seems to me to be more in line with Deism than Christianity, but I do not think he can easily be called an atheist.
