Dreams of flying, i need some advise!!

Hi everyone!!
Ive been having these crazy dreams where it feels like im out of my own body (spirit) , there are two sorts.

One is where I wake up and im 2 feet above my bed then all of a sudden I fly out of my room and travel all different places around the world, But at the start and all through the dream I keep prounacing the name of Jesus to make shure it's not the enemy. What is happening here I a bit confused is it a attack of the enemy??

The second dream is where I felt a spirit was strangling I try and prounace the name of Jesus but it feels like my mouth is blocked so then I instantly wake my self up an ask for protection of God-Jesus then go back to sleep, this has also happened to a family member lately so I told them to make shore that they pray every night for Jesus to protect them in their sleep.

Every night I ask for a prayer of protection which works, These dreams happen when I wake up then go back to sleep of a morning without any protection? All up ive probably had close to 20 dreams. I had one where it felt like the enemy was in my face all I did was laugh and pronounce the name of Jesus and it went away and I woke up. Could some of please guide me in what is happening and give me some advise scriptures ??, Adding to this when I broke my neck in 2007 and spent 2 weeks in a coma I had a very bad outer body experience and I wasn't a christian then so I didn't know how powerfull the name of Jesus is! But as soon as I came out of the coma I gave my life to christ!!

When you're flying, do you experience a presence of peace?

Also, on you trips, do you get or give any information that would glorify Christ . . . like, do you help anyone? Witness to anyone?

A Christian can be translated in the Spirit, such as Philip when he witnessed to the Ethiopian Eunuch. I had an experience one time that was similar to what you said. I was travelling at high rate of speed over land/water and I knew HS was with me -- I was at perfect peace. He actually spoke to me during this time, one of the most wonderful experiences with God I've ever had. As you seek God on this, He will reveal what you are experiencing and how for you to handle it. I pray that you get revelation.

As far as the spirit trying to strangle you . . . examine yourself. Are you involved in anything that has given evil forces an entrance? Basically, is there some sin in your life that you need to stop. Is there rebellion or unforgiveness in you that needs addressing?

I have also had some unpleasant experiences during rebellious and disobedient periods of my life on the order you described. I didn't like them and it scared me. Confront whatever needs confronting, if need be, and let God guide you in the actions you are to take. He will.

I might have a little different view than others of your being attacked while asleep. Satan attacks people he can't attack while awake, when they're asleep. I had that until my pastor prayed about it. The other thing is, you are pronouncing the altered Greek form of the name of the Savior. Do you know that the name the angel told Mary to give him in Mattew was the hebrew word "Yeshua" that means salvation in Hebrew? It might make an interesting ongoing study if you have a Strong's concordance with the Hebrew and Greek word numbers and dictionaries in the back of Strongs, or do a study in a book or on the internet. The word salvation 'Yeshua' appears many times in the Old Testament. Just sayin'. God Bless, and I will pray for you if you give me a first or nick name to use. LLG

Hi there again, Thanks for all of this advise!! There was an entry point for an evil spirt through my pop and great grand pop who were a ranked level 33 in the masonic lodge. Which I think it is as high as you can be in the lodge? So there was the entry into the blood line, we had a lot of people helping us break the hold that the enemy had on our lives through insertion and prayer teams!! In my recent dream when i flew it only lasted for about 1min i went through a hospital and some person house I was trying to remember all of the details but I couldn't see to many things because I was going so fast? Next time it happens ill pronounce the name "Yeshua" and see what happens! Thanks

That must have been earth-shaking for you.
I have heard people say that after they went through one out of body experience, they were prone to fall into OBE's later when there was no reason to.

I don't know how this plays out scientifically or spiritually, but consider that it might just be a natural consequence of the neck injury, a spinal cord thing. Mention it to your doctor, to make sure it's not a symptom of something else.

Spiritually, I would compare it to letting a house cat outside for a day. Once it has seen the outside, you might catch it wandering out more often. But I am no expert on OBE's or soul/spirit travel.

It's great that you are taking a firm stand when you suspect evil slipping in. Be as firm about your generational past -- Jesus has already overcome, so just stand on that being a fact.

The transporting is not completely anti-God. Jesus was transported to the wilderness, Enoch believed he was shown the solar system from a different and closer angle, John felt his revelation was not quite a dream.

But trying to transport would be a different issue... taking ourselves into realms that might be above our capabilities to return.... getting in over our heads supernaturally is not a smart idea.

Whilst the apostle Paul's destination was different, he mode of transport seems similar:
2 Cor 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.

So I wouldn't link it with the enemy's influence, especially with your attitude towards it. Notice also that it's not always clear whether it's in the body or out of the body.

A lot of people on this forum have had OBEs. There was a recent thread on this where lots of people contributed. I was trying to find it but couldn't. Maybe you can.

I wouldn't definately say this is as a result of leaving an open door for the enemy. It's part of the nature of having an enemy. Sometimes attacks are subtle & sneaking like a snake (Gen 3:1), & other times like a roaring lion (1 Pe 5:8)

Years ago I would have these dreams of being attacked also - struggling to speak, kicking off spirits from my legs, a person looking a like a witch-doctor in the bedroom etc.

But we can be confident in the authority the Lord has given us in Christ:
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

I also had this although not to that level. My wife & I specifically renounced each of the freemasonry oaths. We found this helpful. There are websites which have them.

Ya coming out of a coma that is a big deal but Praise Yeshua for all your undivided attention. I have flying dreams all the time. Don't know if I'm really getting the picture in my dreams but I feel a sense of Power when I'm able to fly. I too had a what I call a abnormal birth not saying yours is but I gave my life to Christ after I saw the devil. God lifted the veil off my eyes and I could see demons. After that I was in shocked and gave my life to Jesus so. I would think that some of these dreams could be from your past accident but if your awake and having them thats power right there and you are very blessed cause I don't even have those, just while I'm asleep. My God rest upon you!

Thanks for adding Paul's -- that really is quite a collection when you think about it.

If these are just normal dreams and not OBE's, then think about what legs represent. They are human ways of moving ahead firmly and flexibly. Amazing muscle strength lies in the thighs, agility in calves and joints, and wow all those foot bones adapt to all sorts of terrain.

In a flying dream, no amazing human capability is needed. The activity is all in the mind and heart, the spirit. That could imply that it is not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit that we are able to get so far.

In your dreams, you went all sorts of places, and moved quickly. When we do things in our own abilities, we trudge and sometimes slip backwards. It is so freeing to have these flying dreams, where we can conceive of times we don't have to travail and break our backs to get something done.

The Israelites moved into their territory with praise -- Jericho walls came down with the vibrations of the shouts. Battles were won with the sun's reflections on shields, breaking clay pots while people were sleeping... God knows what it will take each time, particular to each circumstance.

God works in mysterious ways.
