Dream receiving a cheque and hubby had one fishing

I had a dream I received a letter from a friend of mine and in it was a cheque with a huge amount, although I dont know how much it was.

Two nights earlier my husband had a dream he was fishing with a wooden rod, he caught a very big fish so big it broke the rod. But he managed to land the big fish. There were some familiar faces from childhood and one lady helped him she took the hook off the fish and kept guarding it.

I also had another dream casting out demons frm my brother and sister, was casting them out in Jesus Name, the demons flee. Whats strange is me and christian family members were praying and fasting for our family; we had prayer points for all our family members.

Does anyone have any translation of these.

I have been asking the Lord in prayer recently to give me dreams and it seems I am dreaming now.

Not sure on the exact meaning, but it definitely sounds like whatever is going to happen will be good.

Big fish & check: can mean many different things. Open possibilities. Some new great thing in your life. Fish and fishing imagery is normally reserved for great things.

Something about childhood, familiarity from childhood: childhood can represent many things. Growth. Early experiences, forming experiences. Old friends. Something started a long time ago.

Spiritual money I view as the real money and is like real money in the sense that it is of faith and hope and with faith and hope one can accomplish anything. Some have so much faith and hope, some have little, some have more. God grants faith and hope for us to believe our dreams into existence.

For some God grants little dreams, for others great dreams.

This one tells me more than your most recent thread. First of all, dreams are not always from G-d. They can come from our own thoughts, demonic influence, or pizza. (LOL)

IF this was from G-d, your whole family fasting and praying together is extremely significant! You certainly are at a place in your life where you have big things in sight, and this dream could be telling you an "all things are possible" type encouragement, or (more likely) it could be telling you there are unseen hindrances that are within your hand to remove. In such instances, I have known prayers re: sending warring angels to carry G-d's Blessings to their intended destination to be very effectual. As much as I hate to just tell anyone "read the book of Daniel," there is Scripture to this effect there. (Difficult book though)

So that particular dream seems to be significant, especially since you wouldn't normally think thoughts like that, (would you?) and powers of darkness would never do such a thing. So this could likely be from G-d, although I can't say it is for sure.

The broken fishing rod: IF this is from G-d, (I'm not sure) it would speak to abundant life. More than you can contain. Also a warning about who you have helping you! That one lady guarding the fish ... are you sure that was a good thing? Could she have been guarding it from you? (Possibly an employee in your business after it takes off, stealing from you) Especially if that face was familiar, I'd try to remember that. If it wasn't recognizable, it's just a general warning about having Family or even close friends working for you. Very sticky situation for anybody. Could also be a good thing, if something needs to be guarded, but the way it's written that doesn't seem likely. Did you get a sense of that part from the dream?

The check of undisclosed amount: when Scripture speaks of things that are normally measured but gives no measurement, the implication is infinite. (See the wings of the Cherubim: I have heard them and we just can NOT fathom the concept of "UP," as G-d uses it!) So this doesn't speak of money, sorry to say. Something invaluable from (or with) a friend. Maybe not that particular friend. Maybe not even a human friend, but something else that friend could signify (or represent) to you; G-d Himself blessing you in some way, which is always priceless.

General observation: if you pray silently for G-d to give you dreams, they can't be somehow "intercepted." You're safe; however, there is no Scripture to tell us this is
G-d's will. A much stronger course of action is something we can find in Scripture, where (prophetically) Jesus' ear was opened in the night to "hear as one who had learned." I hope you see this as shocking - what an incredible statement of humility!!
Such a prayer is effectual because it aligns your will with G-d's ability to grant dreams, but also with any other way G-d may choose to show Himself strong on your behalf. Wanting G-d to be real in your life is definitely a desire He loves to grant! Our part is to take the limitations off of Him.

All three dreams have a very positive ring to them for me.

My impression is that there seems to be a common theme of break-through & closure of a stage of something in the three dreams, plus a sense of something new continuing on from the break-through
1. (Break-thru) You weren't waiting for the letter - you received it
(New phase as a result) The cheque is to be used
2. (Break-thru) The fish was landed
(New phase as a result) What has been won needs to be protected
3. (Break-thru) Demons are cast out
(New phase as a result) Demons flee - their influence is further reduced

I see this dream speaking of prayer & faith. Faith is the currency of heaven & we are able to spend it on someone/people by praying for them. In addition to its unlimited nature, it's also a sign of God's trust in you that no amount was on the cheque.

This example of fishing speaks to me of winning the lost - sounds like this is on both your hearts! Your husband fising might symbolise a gift of evangelism. The wooden rod might be an encouragement to be more flexible in your approach to sharing the gospel. Whilst each person is saved the same way by faith in Jesus death & resurrection & receiving Him as Lord, the path to that place is different for each person, and each person is at a different stage. When we are sharing, we can be asking the Holy Spirit about how to approach each person. The devil tries to steal the seed which has been sown in people's hearts. There is a different role & approach to prayer once a person is "caught" (lady guarding) so that they become grounded & take root.

I think this one is fairly self explanatory. I would take this as an encouragement that the Lord is working though your prayers.

The things I will add are not meant to detract from what they said, but get into some simple details.

The letter added personal communication to the award. There was satisfaction in the personal attention, not just the windfall. It's the thought that counts.

A check is a piece of paper that promises money is yours. Promissory note. A statement of transfer that is legally backed, but not actually currency. And currency itself is not actual gain, but a symbol of the ability to purchase what you choose. So this is a promise of a promise, given from a distance, and not telling you how much.

Faith was mentioned above, worth meditating on.

It was for you, but you didn't know the amount. Someone else still had the upper hand on what was meant for you. (Maybe it wasn't conveyed that way in the dream...can be positive or negative.)

It was like the stimulus package, slated to arrive in increments over time.

I agree that fishing probably relates to people. Past dreams here have seemed to. Water is often the masses of people; a fishing pole lures one individual at a time, and pulls it out of the masses.

If this does not relate to his ministries or to your family, I would be a little worried. The fishing rod is his tool for accomplishing the activity, and the fish overpowered and destroyed it.

It was similar to the story of nets breaking, which was good. Maybe the dream will end up thoughtful reassurance when something happens, seeing that the catch was worth the tool/method breaking. Human effort, pride, systems, plan... what made him able to target the fish and bring it out into the open. Bring it into a different realm.

On the comments above about guarding, the woman might be a ministry or business (spin-off contractor?) that keeps an eye on the catch. For example, he was able to woo an important client, and then pass this on to subcontractors who took good care of the account. Or he planted a church and someone else pastored it.

Brother and sister in a dream might be sister churches or ministries. You took charge and made sure they were set free from what troubled them... what kept them from fullness of life and service.
