Hello folks. Yesterday, I downloaded Project 2025, the DNC platform, and a 3rd party platform onto my computer just for kicks. As a moderate, this thread is to ask the artificial intelligence software questions, and I will relay the responses* back to you guys. Also, I might install the Libertarian platform, if such a thing exists as well. Right now, the AI is learning the documents, so it might take a few hours before this thread can get on a roll. I do not like the concept of Project 2025, but maybe the AI will say some good, or bad things about it.

The machine is learning, as shown below. :)

*Disclaimer: In no way does the artificial intelligence model, Mistral AI, represent my own personal opinions. AI generated answers are based partially on the AI's training data, along with any selected files for the machine to process (known as retrieval augmented generation). Retrieval Augmented Generation can be turned off, so do not worry, the AI will not be permanently turned into a politician.

You forgot to include Agenda47!!!

Donald Trump has repeatedly disavowed Project 2025.
Here is a clip from C-Span, in which he does so:

Donald Trump's agenda is called Agenda47.
Here is Agenda 47:

I can install Agenda 47 as well. Do you guys have some George Bush documents, Mitt Romney documents and Ronald Reagan ones to feed the machine?

Edit: Just found a whole bunch of documents written by each party. For simplicity sake, I might go back to the 1980s or 1990s at the earliest. The more documents fed to the AI, the longer the learning process.

Bro, I am just trying to help people. Who even wants to read a 900-page document? I sure as heck do not want to. The AI can use documents from all sides of the political aisle. Technology can be used as a tool, as most folks my age are impatient.

Compare the American Solidarity platform to a really old (1964) Democratic Party platform.

I could try doing that. The 1964 platform is not on PDF on the website, but I can use the print to PDF on Firefox, then install the document to the AI. Right now, the AI is still busy, at 47% progress of learning the documents, so I will get to you on this tomorrow. :)

Wanna know what is holding up the AI? That 900 page document by Project 2025. Like bro, 900 pages is too much. It literally takes hours, if not half a day for the machine to learn it. Just for slowin' down my machine, Project 2025 deserves the dumpster.*

*Just kidding on that last point.

The machine is currently learning about the history of black congress members.

I am of the opinion that Congress should not be allowed to vote on any bill that has not been read aloud before both the House and the Senate with the complete text. That would make laws much shorter. No 2000 page bills that way. More ten page bills.

As to Project 2025 it seems a whipping boy for the Left more than anything. And since it's 900 pages virtually nobody has actually read it.

I do agree with you on this. 2000 page bills are way too long, and I do hope we can live in an era of only 10 page bills, or where bills are read aloud in entirety to the Congress (and to the POTUS as well, just for good measure). Wanna know something? The entire US Law contains 22 million words. Yeah, Project 2025 does seem like a whipping boy for the left, but we will have to see what happens when the machine is done learning it.

Edit: Alright, we are 64% of the way through the AI learning multiple political documents. Computer is still really warm.

Whew, the machine is finally starting to ingest and learn Project 2025. By tomorrow morning, it should be ready to answer questions about that document. Maybe by tomorrow evening or Wednesday, I will install some 1960s-1990s presidential platforms, cos I am an old soul and want to compare old Democrats and old Republicans to 21st century politicians.

Isn't this pretty cool? The fact that we live in the middle of the 2020s decade, and have advanced technology at our disposal to summarize long documents and ask questions to? Just 5 years ago in 2019, this would have been science fiction. Sadly, some folks are quick to judge AI. I used to be one of those folks.

Why do you hate the Senate and House clerks so much?

I thought that was the plan.

I wonder if that's a feature, not a bug. I wonder if a good part of those 900 pages is a handful of recipes for apple pie, notes to the author's mom, and a Trump vs. Thanos fan fic.

We will find out tomorrow whether Project 2025 is a power grab, or a decent document, or a document with good intentions but has shortcomings. Just wait overnight, once my machine is done learning the document.

By the way, A Trump vs. Thanos fan fiction would be epic, with Thanos winning.

Right now, the AI is learning the DNC platform (around 90 pages). 77% until the machine is all done with all the party platforms from 2004 to 2024.

Make it Trump vs Squirrel Girl and I would read it.

Ahh, never heard of her. One of those Marvel characters that never made it to the silver screen?

Just read this quote from Wiki: "John Kelly of The Washington Post called Squirrel Girl the 'latest hit comics character [of the 1990s],' writing, 'Right now, the hottest superhero in the Marvel Comics universe is not male, does not wear a cape and was not bitten by a radioactive spider. The hottest Marvel superhero has a tail, an overbite and wears acorn earrings. She is called the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.'"

If the MCU ever does a Squirrel Girl movie and doesn't cast Kristen Schaal, I'll be very disappointed.

Enough with the AI slop.
While I certainly can agree, imagine being 23yo when the Etch-a-Sketch was introduced, sure it was “for kids” but it was fun too!
This ”AI slop“ is the necessary “fun” before the “terror” as in The Blob (1958).

If a machine gains sentience, it’s going to assess it’s environment, and where it “fits” into the scheme of things. We’re at the foothills of the abyss, enjoy the ride!
