Dottie Rambo Funeral Set for May 19

CBNNews.com - Funeral arrangements for gospel singer Dottie Rambo are set for Monday, May 19.
The memorial service will be held at 1 pm at the Christ Church in Nashville, Tenn. Visitation will begin Saturday, May 17 at the Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Both are open to the public.
Rambo, the reigning "queen of gospel music," passed away Sunday, May 11, after her bus tumbled down an embankment at about 2:19 a.m. High winds caught hold of the bus and pushed it off course. The singer was 79.

She and her crew were on her way to meet Lulu Roman and Naomi Sego at a concert in Texas, Judy Ferguson, the wife of Rambo's manager, said in a statement.
Ferguson was also in the accident
Seven others, including Rambo's manager, his wife, their two sons and assistant, along with the bus driver, all survived the accident. Doctors say their recovery will be a long process.
Rambo began writing songs at age 8 and was performing country music at age 10. By the time she was 12, she'd given her life to Christ, and started her own Christian center...
