Dogs see angels/spirits?

I've heard this many times before, and sometimes I think it is true. I mean, there will be no sounds whatsoever when Tra'Kola start growling a deep, menacing growl (a 5 lb toy poodle, btw) and walks around the house, particularly looking down the hallway towards the master bedroom.

It happens often, and I dunno if I should believe that or not. I mean, it is a frequent thing, everything can be still and quiet, and it's always in the end of the hallway that she looks.

Seriously though, dogs have much more acute hearing that humans, and can probably hear something outside that you can't possibly hear. Or even smell someone passing by. Their sense of smell is very acute.

I'm just going by the stories some have told about it so if there's another explanation, by all means let's hear it.

There have been many stories about animals, including wild ones, having had unusual reactions or relationships with holy men and women. It seems that they can see the image of God in mankind, and some reflect or shine with that presence of God in them more than others. Saint Herman of Alaska befriended a bear to the amazment of the indigenous people he lived among. Saint John the Wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco befriended a pigeon named Goolya.

From these accounts I believe animals can have some spiritual sight we lack, but I don't know if it would pertain to seeing other spiritual beings. I've never seen evidence of that. The perked ears and seemingly unprovoked barking fits probably have more to do with their astute hearing or their irrational little brains.

For the first 6 months I thought it was something she smelled or heard (which, now that Sasse is getting older, she does this, too), but it is always the hallway, always in my moms' room. If they hear a noise at the door, they check down the hallway BEFORE going to the door to bark. I mean, it's kind of freaky.

hmmmm I would be freaking out by now. Why don't you pray to God and ask Him what is there and tell Him to remove it, if its a demon spirit.
