I love them! And they don't cuss excessively. (I've only ever heard one cuss word in all their songs--that I've heard)

My fav is "Way Away". Great song.AFallingStar said:I really liked "Ocean Avenue" and listened to it all the time, but when I bought "Lights and Sounds" (their latest...released on January 24th), I was kind of...horrified, to be honest. I didn't like the title track (except for the very beginning of the song...the guitar was cool!), I thought some of the songs were somewhat boring and slow, lyrically it wasn't that strong with the political issues or whatever...basically, to me it just sounded like they were trying to experiment with a different genre (and not doing too well at it). They did have some good songs, though. I liked "Waiting Game"...it had a really good beginning. The instrumental first track was really pretty too.
BTW, it's probably just me...but does the last song on the CD "Lights and Sounds" sound a lot like the song "XO" (I think that's the one) from Fall Out Boy?
Just reread my first paragraph. Really, I'm not trying to bash Yellowcard. I really like them; I think they're a good band. I'm just not a huge fan of their latest CD.
What's your favorite Yellowcard song?
i really like yellowcard. im a Christian, (e-free to be exact, not that thats super important) and i think these guys are pretty good. i just bought ocean avenue, and ive never really listened to them before. if you're looking for Christian bands silmilar to YC, i highly recommend:
MXPX, Hawk Nelson, Stellar Kart, (i mean i guess you could say relient k), the almost, anberlin, capitol lights, hyper static union, eleventy seven, and the classic crime
Anberlin calls themselves a Christian band because they're all Christians, but a lot of their music is not about God. It's not sinful, but it's just not about God.
