Do Angels love us?

I know we've all heard of Guardian Angels, but do you think they love us? I'm sure they can probably see our wretchedness like The Lord can, and in The Bible the few times it spoke about Angels they seemed kind of stern? Maybe i've misinterpreted? I know if I were in the presence of an Angel it'd terrify me simple because they represent The Lords will and are close to God so that's both amazing and scary.

Also why do you think Heaven has an army? My understanding is Heaven is perfect, full of love and perfection. So why an army? It's not like anyone could challenge The Lord, as He's The Almighty, and his power is infinite. I know the devil challenged Him, but that wasn't a real challenge as he of course wasn't going to win. God is infinitely powerful and there's nothing He can't do(and we're all so blessed because it, praise The Lord! ) so He has no threats, so why do you think He has an army?


Why do you think Heaven has a gate? I believe in The Bible when Jesus ascended to Heaven they didn't recognize Him at first and weren't trying to open the gates. I believe they may of made a reference to no man coming to the gates before, I thought that wasn't possibly anyway(I mean short of Jesus, but He's God) as in a regular person just wondering to the gates unnoticed and unknown by The Lord, like I thought that wasn't possible? Also my understanding is no man can enter Heaven that The Lord doesn't allow, so why do you think there are gates and people guarding them?

Do you ever wonder if God The Father had a Father? Or where He came from? I've read He's always been, but doesn't everything have a start?

I pray none of my questions are that of arrogance, pride or are a sin. I pray that if i'm not to know the answers that I haven't offended anyone in simply asking. God Bless you all.

A priest once told me that God created time. Therefore, God existed before there was such a thing as beginning or end, which are parts of time. He exists in a way we can't even begin to understand, like trying to teach Calculus to my dog. God isn't ever a question; He's an answer. Does that help a little?

I believe angels love us. They're only motivation is love, love of God and love of his creations. That means us.

From what I was taught, the "gate" of heaven is not a thing or something used to keep people in or out. The "gate" is the opportunity for souls to see themselves as they really are and to make the decision if they want to be with God forever or not. We aren't "recognized" at the gate because it's totally our call and the heavenly residents turn their eyes away not recognizing us) so that we can utilize our gift of free will to decide if we are worthy/ wanting to be with God forever.

The part about God deciding who gets in, I believe that to mean He shows Himself to all who are at the gate and we're forced to see our sins to know if we need time in purgatory for refining or if we are truly ready to enter. It's said that He decides because He has decided to extend our free will to our spirit life as it is in our earthly life.

Now, that doesn't mean an unrepentant God-hating person can just decide to walk on through the gate of heaven. It means that an unrepentant God-hating person in spirit form now has the KNOWLEDGE to know if they are compatible with heavenly life or not, and the awesomeness and pure immense love that is God shocks them into knowing where they belong.

That's why fogivness of SELF is just as important as forgiveness of others. If we go to the gates not having forgiven ourselves for past sins, we may decide we're not worthy to enter. God gave us that freedom.

by form i mean appearance not, not a physical body like the Incarnation of Christ, but they are pure spiritual beings that appear to have physical forms

I tend to think of the Angels as a passive intellect with knowledge ~ they are spirit-beings always in communion with Heaven.

by form i mean appearance not, not a physical body like the Incarnation of Christ, but they are pure spiritual beings that appear to have physical forms

A good example would be Abraham entertaining the three men who turned out to be both angels and a type of the Holy Trinity.
