Dislike for Revealing clothes

How is wearing revealing clothing not seen as violating other people ? I personally hate it.

Also, I often hear women say they dress in what they are comfortable in or they don't want attention, but being a woman myself it seems like it's all humble bragging. Cause im totally sure you couldn't find anything else comfortable that doesnt expose your whole body *eye roll*.They want attention but don't want to look like they want attention. Kind of like when women post revealing picks on Facebook and leave a vague caption like just another day. And then they get a million comments from guys telling them they are hot. Sometimes I'm like we get it you want attention stop trying to play dumb already. Just leave a picture saying please tell me I'm hot cause I need to hear it at least once a day to feel good about myself again *eye roll*

I mean I think I'd be more okay with it if the women who do this would just admit it's about attention and stop trying to lie like the rest of us are dumb. There are so many times I want to call out other women for acting like this they get on my nerves. I always see articles on mean girls why some women don't like other women they never mention some of us can't stand other women lying.

I'm a 20 year old college guy, and I refuse to date anyone who dresses too immodestly. Short shorts are one thing; especially for athletes, these are common, and as long as they're not too short, that's alright. Past that, though, belly shirts, and those leggings with see-through part, jeans with holes all over, booty shorts, low-cut tops, I don't go for any of that stuff. I think a lot of girls that dress like that would be very surprised to hear a guy say that, because in our modern culture, a lot of girls dress immodestly because that's what they think they need to do to attract a boyfriend. If we get stronger men, I think we'll see a lot of this go away, but without stronger women, men won't feel the need. It's a vicious cycle, but ultimately, the man will always rise to the level of the woman.

I hate it as well. When I was younger I found it attractive, and not in an edifying way. But now it repels me. I found out that physical attractiveness has nothing to do with good character. All I see in it now is the need to attract attention and be accepted, or worse, to manipulate, and none of that is good.

To me, clothing is not so much about modesty, as taste. One has either good or bad taste. I agree that wearing excessively and inappropriately revealing attire is usually vulgar. But one can cover up almost completely, and still show very bad taste. Which can be just as off-putting.

Tastefulness is one of those subjective qualities that's hard to describe in words. But you know it when you see it.

I think it is amazing when I see women praying at the alter with long hair covering themselves. But when I see women out on the streets with long dresses trying to look religious I am not quite so sure about that. My wife is modest in the way she dresses, but she does not make a public show of it.

They usually get their clothing at the thrift store, so they do the best they can to be in style with what they have to work with.

Its a violation to me because it temps me into sin, it draws me to think in ways I should not, it effects my well being. It hurts me as sin hurts your soul.

This is why God commanded us to where clothing when we knew we where naked as it was a insult as lust filled our body's as it does now.
