Yes!

Paul said that he was the sinner of sinners. Read Romans, it speaks about his struggles but also ours.

The Apostles were human. ALL humans struggle with sin - Christ was tempted. But Christ never gave in to sin, like the rest of us sin. Christ had our human nature, but being divine, He never gave in.

The Apostles have this air of being above us all, but in truth they were human, no different than us. God used them for His purposes, just like He can in our lives.

Hope that helps!

There is no point in reading Romans superficially. You have to study it. Paul is refering to his life prior to meeting Christ. If you are struggling with sin you might find at the base of it a lie, that you still beleive in, that you still have a sinful nature after being born in Christ.

I suggest to anyone struggling with this topic to visit the Website of Andrew Wommack, who is in my opinion sharing for free the most complete and sensible revelations regarding Romans I have ever seen.

1John 1:8
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

notice John said "we" not "you."

I agree fully with this.

The point I was making is that part of the reason we do not have more and more victory over sin is that we believe after being reborn in Christ that we still have a sinful nature. We are trying to save the old man rather than living in the new creature, which is in Christ. We are no longer slaves of sin.

After Christ was raised from the dead, and besides Romans Chapter 7 (this is a greatly debated chapter) are there any verses to indicate that Paul, Peter, John, or any of the apostles actually struggled with sin?

Please give verses so that I might be enlightened into this doctrine of the Devil.
Actually, yes.
Peter, for example behaved hypocritically and Paul corrected him publically.
It also shows that they kept each other accountable.
here is the text,

GAL 2:11 When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. 12 Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. 13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

GAL 2:14 When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

Thanks,
Ed
