hmmmm  well I'm not a guy so I will have very few ideas for you lol! Here's one idea I can think of that you might be able to do something with.

Read 1 Corinthians 12

When I read that one, I often think about how a team must work together, such as in sports etc... Maybe you can play off of that somehow.

Start with a theme, that makes it easier.

I once did a whole series on how gardening can teach you about God. I did 22 of them before I quit.

But any subject will do, like what God says about being a good husband, or how God calls people into his service. If you did that one, you could look at the various people who were called by God to do specific things, like Abraham to be the father of a nation, Samuel to be a prophet, Nehemiah to rebuild the City, Mary to bear His son, and so on. It's a very interesting study, and each one need not take a lot of time. Just read the Bible passage and see how God spoke to each person.

I feel as guys we tend to look to heroes and role models.
I used this theme for a men's group. We looked at role models from the Bible, the more unfamiliar ones like Philip, Amos, Jonathan, Boaz, Caleb, Mordecai, and also looked at modern heroes like C.S.Lewis, Henry Nuwen, DL Moody, Spurgeon, etc.

It was great to see both the frailties of these men and the amazing confidence they had in God and what they could do with him. It allowed us to explore many other issues such as faith, grace, humility, accountability and fellowship.

Hope that helps
Dave

I see you want to be difficult, eh? OK! What about doing one on Obadiah, whose name means "Servant of Jehovah". We know very little about this guy or really absolutely nothing, except that he obviously lived up to his name. All of his service pointed to the God he served and not himself.

Or Habakkuk, whose name means "love's embrace", but of whom little else is known. Martin Luther defined his name this way: "Habakkuk signifies and embracer, or one who embraces another, takes him into his arms. He embraces his people, and takes them into his arms, i.e., he comforts them, and holds them up, as one embraces a weeping child, to quiet it with the assurance that if God wills it shall soon be better."

Almost a devotion in itself, eh?

I've done that! It's really cool to know about some of the people who played smaller parts in God's Story.

Someone just emailed me a short devotional along those lines, I'll try to find it and post it here for you.
