A DNC member from Florida told Politico that the Democratic Party is suffering from being portrayed as radicals by the conservatives.

"I don’t want to be the freak show party, like they have branded us," the DNC member said. "You know, when you’re a mom with three kids, and you live in middle America and you’re just not really into politics, and you see these ads that scare the bejesus out of you, you’re like, ‘I know Trump’s weird or whatever, but I would rather his weirdness that doesn’t affect my kids.’"

Lots pf interesting quotes in this article. It looks like the Democratic Party is moving toward the Right, while they are still relevant.

They will never be relevant unless they go back to being a labor party.

Rep. Nancy Mace introduces resolution to ban transgender women from female restrooms in Capitol

Rep. Nancy Mace introduced a resolution Monday to prohibit transgender women from using female bathrooms at the Capitol.

Ms. Mace, South Carolina Republican, who often advocates to keep males out of female athletic competitions, told Fox News, “The sanctity of protecting women and standing up against the Left’s systematic erasure of biological women starts here in the nation’s Capitol.”

According to the text of the resolution, the measure bans “Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.”

This deserves a thread of its very own.

Remember, though, that it is Democrats who are obsessed with gender issues.

It's perverted men who are obsessed with going into women's restrooms; and it seems that not all Democrats support them.

I never said anything about who was obsessed with going into restrooms. My post was simply pointing out another example of the party which can't seem to stop talking about other people's restroom use. Kinda weird in my opinion, but I guess everyone needs a hobby.

Common sense seems to be missing in this debate. Democrats advocate for allowing transgender individuals to use public bathrooms that align with their gender identity, while Republicans seek to restrict access to these spaces. Both sides wants to force their ideology on other side without commonsense solution.

I personally beliefs transgender lifestyle is sinful. However, I also acknowledge that transgender individuals are part of our society and need to use facilities when necessary.

Creating laws similar to those under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which require bathrooms accessible to individuals with disabilities, could mandate that every public bathroom should have separate gender-neutral bathrooms for those who identify as transgender or non-binary. This could be a practical solution.

It appears that both sides are more interested in asserting their views over the other rather than finding common ground. Liberals forcing their gender identity to others, while conservatives wish to impose their viewpoint.

Here's some:

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace said Tuesday that the bill she introduced to ban transgender women from using women's restrooms at the U.S. Capitol was "absolutely" in response to Rep.-elect Sarah McBride's entering Congress.

"Yes, and absolutely. And then some," Mace told reporters at the Capitol.

"I'm not going to stand for a man, you know, someone with a penis, in the women's locker room," she said.

The Democratic Party will need to re-brand/re-align in some form or fashion. Being the 'umbrella party' can't work for long. Certainly the Republican Party does not and cannot represent me. I am a non-Christian and to them not even a real Human being. The Democratic Party (as it is today) does not and cannot represent me. I am a single heterosexual who owns firearms and believes Christian have the same rights as everyone else to express their views and worship as they see fit and share their views in the Public Square.

Yeah, I know. I'm a real weirdo. :tonguewink:

Their active policies and agenda items branded themselves that - this is entirely of their own making.

While I agree with that last quote, it doesn't match up with her legislation. The bill doesn't take gender reassignment surgery into account.

Now, if she fixed it so that people used facilities according to their genitals, I could go along with that.

I know lots of non-Christian Republicans.

Perhaps they exist. However, Christians have made it abundantly clear I am not welcome. I read too many books. I refuse to deny science. I also believe non-Christians should have the same rights as Christians under the law. I would make a very bad Republican.

Thank you Rep. Mace for standing up for the rights of girls and women.

I read a lot of books. I accept science. I believe all people, regardless of faith, deserve the same rights as Christians.

As a devout Christian and moderate Republican, I would welcome you with open arms :)

It’s not a hobby. It’s about having respect for women that don’t want MEN in their personal and private places.

It’s weird how that’s so controversial, but ok.

Be careful. I am considered an "enemy" by many Christians. I've been betrayed by "open arms" in the past and won't be ever again. Though I have conservative views on some topics it is quite clear I cannot be a Republican.

I’m sorry you were treated that way. There can be judgmental and mean spirited people within my own party, that’s for sure.

But who cares about labels? You do you.
