I just wrote an article about Christian music, highlighting the band Skillet - who has been around a long time - and to me, doesn't represent true Christianity. I listen to Christian radio and hear a lot of catchy music with wrong messages that I just could not take it any longer. I think this is a good point of discussion for all believers. To me, the music that's out there also represents the condition of our church today. I'm very curious to know others' thoughts on this problem.

I love Skillet's music—"Awake and Alive" and "Monster" are my favorite songs by them. I actually didn't know they were a Christian band for a while.

They sound good, but listen to what the message is. A Spirit-filled believer should feel he has a monster inside of him that he can't control. That isn't biblical. God bless you

It's not like the only message taken from it has to be "Oh it's unbiblical, etc.". As I said, I didn't even know it was a Christian band at first, so songs don't have to have exclusively "Christian" meanings.

Good points. That's how it is in the end of days.
