Does anyone know of any Catholic Colleges that are kind of cheap? I want to go to a Catholic College when I get out of high school in 2008, but my parents may not be able to afford it. I might be able to get a job and pay some of it, but I was just wondering if there are any Catholic Colleges that aren't super-expensive.

City college is a lot cheaper. Granted this is 6-10 years ago, so I am sure prices have increased. One 12 credit semester was only 1600 dollars, *total*. In the Catholic school I go to, one *credit* (not one class, one credit in a 3 credit class) is over 900. Now I have loans out. Shoulda gone back to city college.

I'm not sure cheap and college can be in the same sentence.

I don't know of any colleges specifically, but if you want to go to college, do not worry about funds. You will find a way to pay for it, I promise. There are so many grants, scholarships, loans, etc. to help you pay for it. Pick the school, then worry about cost.

I'm not sure how cheap these are, but you might want to check out Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, and Mount Aloysius College which is somewhere in central PA. Although, if you want to go to Duquesne it might be cheaper to go to the University of Pittsburgh and cross register for classes at Duquesne.

The thing with these really high costing private schools (like Catholic ones) is that they usually have a lot of sponsors/donors and they help out as much as you need them to with financial aid. Granted you may have to take our several loans, but it's all managable. I'm planning on going to Duquesne University (in Pittsburgh) for my graduate studies, and although I was told by the flute professor there that he could get me a bunch of scholarships (I'm studying music performance with an emphasis on flute).

But, of course, not everybody would like to pay back loans of $60,000 once they get out of school. (that's only 2 years of grad study too!).

As Tetzel suggested, you may be able to attend a large secular university and cross-register with an affiliated Catholic college. I attend a provincial University, but I am also considered a student of St. Thomas More College (which is on the university campus) and nearly all my classes are through STM.

Best wishes with your future classes!
