No I meant the question as in “how do we talk to our guardian angels if possible?”Um...OK....Talk![]()
Can we talk to our Guardian Angels?
Sorry but there's absolutely nothing in scripture that confirms that. He may have created them and gave them assignments merely because he chose to.
The scriptures indicate we're to put our focus on Christ. Problem with even entertaining the notion of wanting and seeking to drum of conversations with angels and the word prayer sounds like making requests.....UM no.....it's to God we're to pray. Jesus said himself, "Whatsoever you ask the Father in my name....." He didn't say anything about seeking dialogue or request making to angels. They're servants of God and they minister to our needs not independent from the instruction of God himself. You can't talk with him, because he will not answer you, but you can pray to him.
Of course. You can address him as follows*:
The answer to your question depends on the church you belong to. If you were Orthodox or Roman Catholic, then you'd follow the advice of the priest and his advice would most likely be to go ahead. If you are (were) a member of a reformed church, praying to anyone but God would be considered inappropriate.Of course. You can address him as follows*:
Holy Angel, attendant on my wretched soul and my afflicted life, do not abandon me, a sinner, nor depart from me because of my lack of self control. Give no place to the wicked demon to dominate me by taking over this mortal body of mine. Hold my wretched and feeble hand, and lead me on the way of salvation. Yes, holy Angel of God, guardian and protector of my wretched soul and body, forgive me everything that I have done to trouble you all the days of my life, and if I have sinned in anything today. Shelter me tonight, and preserve me from every prank of the enemy, that I may not anger God by any sin. Intercede with the Lord on my behalf, that He strengthen me in the fear of Him, and that He make me a worthy servant of His goodness. Amen._____
* We say this prayer before sleep.

We have no reason to think that they do, but all the angels who appeared to humans in the Bible came with the appearance of males, so people have fallen into the habit of thinking of them (and addressing them) that way.I thought angels didn’t have a gender?

One might say all that, but it is contrary to Holy Scripture, and is offensive to God by ignoring our "Intercessor": the Lord Jesus. NO SCRIPTURE suggests we might talk with God's messengers: Angels. They are God's silent messengers. When one tries to talk with Angels, they obviously do not have the kind of relationship with God as provided.
