Can satan enter your dreams?

I have recently had a very disturbing dream. In it I watched as a ghost/demon killed many people. I felt I was safe because of my faith in Christ. I called out to him many times but the only thing that happened was the ghost/demon laughed at me and said I did not have enough faith. He skinned all of my fingers to the bone using a sharp razor blade. I actually felt the pain. Even when I woke up my fingers were burning for days. I felt an evil presence in that dream that I cannot explain. It has bothered me for a couple of weeks. I feel like satan is trying to question my faith. I am afraid to go to sleep at night in case he returns. If anyone has had these experiences please share your thoughts with me.

I had this dream once, I was standing on a large rock, it slowly started to go around in circles, when it came to a full circle there was no ground left around it, it was only flames...then demons were reaching up out of the flames trying to grab me, I was so afraid...but soon realized that as long as I was on the rock they couldn't reach me.

I soon learned from many other dreams, that they were spiritual dreams
and I would never forget because of that dream that as long as I stood on the rock(Jesus)that I was okay.

Maybe there is something here that you needed to learn from
or that you are extremly aware that the devil is a false accuser and a liar, so if the devil is a liar, and said you don't have enough faith, what does that tell you?
Face you sleep in confidence knowing whose you are, and that you are His... not by might nor by power but by the spirit of the Lord!!!!

I can only repeat what someone listened to in a sermon - and I can't recall the scripture, but in layman's terms the gist of it was that Satan could "put thoughts" into your head, but could not hear yours. Provided of course, you're Christian and covered through Christ and believe that.

Dreams are a form of thought processes so it stands to reason, that he could mess with your mind in your dreams.
But then God can, too My Mom's had plenty of "forewarned" dreams from God that helped her out considerable in real life not long afterward.

I've never had a dream like that, but everytime I'm on the verge of a breakthrough with God I'll hear voices or feel flase convictions (like to go and murder someone). During these times God seems to be nowhere in sight. I know He's there and that's the only thing that keep me going.

Psalm 23 and Job are always good reads in those hard times or trail.

talkin about dreams... i had this dream ... sometimes.

In the dream, i only saw i am leading ppl to safety. Coz i am the one shouted, Quick !! Faster !! I think zombies (look like zombies)? not sure what they are ... they are coming for us. We just run run run. And i am always the last one. the thing is some were save and some werent.

First i dun watch horror movies so much. Hardly.

I definitely believe that satan can affect your dreams. Right after i became a Christian and was reading my Bible every night for hours I had the worst, most graphic dreams I've ever had. As soon as I remembered to ask God to take them away in the name of Christ they went away. I have had a few bad dreams since then but everytime I pray for them to go away they do. Just a few nights ago I had a really graphic dream about children killing each other because they didn't understand what they were doing was bad. It was terrible and I never would have thought that up on my own. I don't watch horror movies anymore either so I feel like it was definitely from satan.

I don't think I have ever seen a verse like this. Does anyone know of one?

I don't recall having any dreams as bad as this but I agree with FaithAlone that the devil or his demons can enter our dreams.

We still live in Satan's domain. We are not his but he can most definately attack us. Physically, mentally, emotionally. He delights in our fears and doubts.

We are not his anymore and he hates it. Hates us. Our Lord warns us of this. Especially the young believers who are still a bit unsteady.

Do not be suprised or dismayed my friends. We are at war with Powers. Though this shell be destroyed he cannot harm us.

We are not his...Rejoice and laugh back.

That same thing happened to me right after I got saved. It is a bit disconcerting.

It"s a cheap shot, if you think about it. We're told to put on our armour in Ephesians 6:13-17....satan messes with us in our minds through lies and deception. The one time we aren't on guard and able to 'resist the devil and he will flee' is when we are asleep. Pray before you go to sleep and ask God to protect your mind from anything contrary to the Holy Spirit. I have also had several dreams where an evil spirit attacks me and I just rebuke it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no fear on my part...just taking the authority given to me through Jesus. God is so good and He doesn't want you afraid...He certainly said "Fear Not' enough through out His word! Praise Him and have a good night!

I think Satan can manipulate dreams. It seems most of my dreams are of longing for something I rid my life of that ensnared it, fuel for lust, or fuel for feelings of inadequacy. I really do think that he has some part in teasing me with them.

People can dream all kinds of stuff, mostly irrevelant stuff. I've noticed with myself I am more likely to have a bad dream when the bedroom is too warm or I've eaten spicy food. If I do have a nightmare and wake up, I pray about it immediately and rebuke it. When it's something you know it's not of God.

God speaks to us in our spirit and so does satan because we are spirit being. Yes, satan can be in your dreams. That is why we have to discern good and evil according to the word of God.

No, I don't think Satan enters your dreams. I think that you may have had thoughts that would cause you to question your faith while awake and your still dealing with these issues when asleep.

Yes, most diffinatly! But a child of God's do not have to fear him, he should fear us. Greater is He that's in us, then he that's in the world. There is a spiritual world we can not see, all around us and a war is going on and it's REAL.

Sin. As A Rule God Does Not Allow Demons To

Job had a dream that was not from God.

Job 4:13-15 "13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,

14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. 15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:"

So, yes, we can have dreams from the enemy. If they lack color and are black and white and dark, those dreams come from the kingdom of darkness.
