I have done this about twice. I have taken advantage if Christs gift:( I have masturbated for about two days knowing that I will confess it in confession. I stopped this and after about two weeks have masturbated willingly and knew that I could ask for forgiveness afterwards and not do it again. this time I truly want to be born again and follow Christs teaching and live my life for God. if I repent and never do it again,Will god forgive me. I have been worrying about this for a week:( this is what it means in Hebrews I saw,But have I gone beyond salvation and committed the unforgivable sin?:(

God will forgive any time you are repentant, not to be confused with just being sorry. To repent of something means to turn away from it, to abandon it. If you just keep doing the same sin and then feel guilty and then pray and then do it again, over and over... you're not repenting. You're just temporarily assuaging your guilt until the next time it happens.

Honey, this is not the "unforgivable sin". Stop worrying about that.

If you need to talk to someone about this, and maybe find someone to help hold you accountable, consider a trusted pastor or church leader. And PRAY about everything concerning this. Some people believe that masturbation is sinful, some don't, and you can find opinions that are everywhere in between. You need to follow your own conscience, guided by the Holy Spirit and God's word. If this is something that troubles you, and you want to stop, pray about it. Talk to someone about it. And if you fall, confess it and repent of it (genuinely turn away from that behavior), and move on.

Sweetheart, we ALL mess up, even after we're saved. Nobody is instantly perfected after being saved :) Becoming like Christ is a process, it BEGINS at salvation and then continues all through our lives. What matters is that we're sincere and genuine in our faith, trust, and submission to God, and that we never give up and stop trying to become more like Him.

Hi I love,
When Jesus saved you he knew you were far from perfect. Jesus also knows you never will be perfect. Please understand his relationship with you is based on his love, and his faithfulness, and his ability to mature you. Let the Spirit help you with this unhealthy fear of the unforgivable sin.

These kind of issues will stunt your spiritual growth. The devil wants you to look at yourself. The Father wants you to look at Jesus. I'm not minimizing sin, but if you try to stop any behavior you need his grace. Trying hard to be good will ultimately lead to failure. Read Romans 6, ask the Spirit help you. The way to conquer sin is to understand Christ's union with you.

If we fight sin apart from it, we only strengthen sin. The strength of sin is the law.

Grace to you.

well, lets start by putting your mind at ease.. the bible does talk about the unpardonable sin.. but, you will never have to worry about committing it..
let me explain.. in order for you to commit the unpardonable sin. you certainly could not be a saved christian.. that particular sin is reserved for those that reject the Spirit.. right up to the point where it is to late..
the very fact that you are concerned is the evidence that the Lord is working in you.. and as far as the one that commits this sin. he doesn't even give it a second thought.. because they are anything but interested in the Lord..
does this make sense..
i always thought of the unpardonable sin as a catch 22.. in order to have committed it, you would not have known the fruit of the Spirit, and therefore would remain ignorant to the fact that you commited it..
people might say that you grieved the Spirit.. but, if you are covered in Christ's righteousness. then how is it possible to grieve Him.. He is our righteousness.. it is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit to sanctify us and make us Christ like.. remember we are like sheep.. and we all know that sheep are helpless and quite stupid.. they are also extremely stubborn.. but, there is an upside.. they are soft and fluffy.. lol.. and they do help us to learn to count.. one sheep.. two sheep.. three sheep.. etc....... lol.. seriously though, sheep will follow the voice of the shepherd.. and over time we will change.. it's been 23 years for me as a confessed christian, and i still wander..
anyhow, i also wanna add that you are not alone in feeling guilt and frustration from masturbation.. i am pretty sure that the majority of us struggle with this..
the important thing is the guilt and frustration you are experiencing.. this is grief.. and that is evidence that you are repentant..
i'm certain that every saved christian that masterbates, knows that they are willfully sinning against God..
remember that God views us differently that we view ourself.. He is only interested in the heart.. He sees your struggle.. more so, he payed for those struggles on the cross, in Christ Jesus.. so He feels what you are going through..
if God called you to repentance, He will certainly see it through to the end.. so stop beating yourself up over the physical struggles you deal with while in the body.. there are going to be many.. none of us are perfect... that is precisely why Jesus had to die.. to pay our debt to God..
satan just loves to steal our joy, by getting us to think that we have lost, or going to lose our salvation.. it's one of his favorite pranks.... but, the truth is.. we can never lose it.. if we could, then God would have never started the good work in us in the first place.. He is God.. He does not make mistakes to start with.. only to make corrections later.. that will never happen with the "never changing Ancient of Days".. last i heard God is Omniscient.. He knows everything, including the end result of what you will be..
i once had a man during an interview say to me, "dale(that's me :) ), you really are a diamond in the rough".. that was a long time ago.. boy was he wrong.. lol..lol.. just kidding.. you see, he saw something in me that even i didn't see.. maybe he saw the finished product.. when i think about that now.. i see how Christ is shaping me into a real gem.. the finished product... but, as far as the world can see. i am no different than the next guy.. oh i am sure that they see i am different.. but, not in a way that they can appreciate.. only the Lord could appreciate that.. after all He is the artist..
blessings brother.. you are not alone in these struggles.. there are times i just hate myself..
but, to have committed the unpardonable sin, and then worry that you did it.... that would be impossible..
again, if you did.. you wouldn't care..

Our goal is to be righteous.

I'm not sure if masturbation makes you unrighteous. I think many people worry about that when they should be more concerned about other things.

ditto.

If you find yourself in or drawn to destructive addictions, like pornography or "sinning against a women in your heart", that will lead to unrighteousness. Some sins run deep, they are a major process. Don't under estimate the power of sin or over estimate will power. The biggest part of getting away from sin is knowing God more deeply and becoming more fulfilled in Him. God has got you covered, so don't turn away from Him, but get closer! Use the freedom you have in Grace to come to know the Lord more and more, and bless those around you in whatever capacity the Lord has blessed you. The worse thing you can do in overcoming sin is to become consumed by guilt and shame because of sin and keeping score of your wrong, the best thing you can do is to focus on God's grace and truth; "Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead". If you seek those things, everything else will eventually fall into place.

people ask all of the time if they can still be forgiven.. when the fact is, that they already are..
so, the only question is, are we willing to accept this forgiveness, that only comes through faith.. and of course that faith is not of ourselves.. but, comes by the grace of God..
so here is the logic.. if you are worried about whether or not you can still be saved.. thats a good thing.. because the lost don't give it a second thought.. the only possible way that you could be worried about this. is if the Lord placed that thought in your heart..
the lost just go about sinning freely as if they will never be held accountable..
blessings..

The fact that you feel guilty is good. It is a sign that the Holy Spirit is trying to guide you. Jesus died for all of our sins. Past, present and future!! There is never, ever a time when he will not forgive you. He is fully God and fully man, so he understand temptation. When you find yourself feeling tempted. Know that the Devil is seeking to devour you!! Now that you know this, do something that is of God and he will leave....Read the bible, put K-LOVE on the radio, Sing Songs of praise to Jesus....He will leave, guaranteed. The more you resist the devil, the stronger you will get at defeating this temptation. God Bless you † Remember that "Grace" is God giving us what we don't deserve and "Mercy" is God holding back what we do deserve....Amen

it is not about being forgiven.. it is that you are forgiven.. and that happened 2000 years ago.. so, the only question now, is do you believe..
and of course even that was taken care of by God for you.. He gives you the faith to believe.. even that is not of your own.., and here is the encore.. are you ready..
even your sanctification(becoming Christlike), is all God again.. through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.. that's right.. He is the One making the necessary changes on the inside to make it all happen.. infact right up to the point of your own resurrection, because that is when He glories you.. that's right.. God will glorify you, just as our Lord Jesus Christ is glorified..
the bible says that we will see Him as He truly is, because we will be like Him..
isn't that awesome.. praise the Lord of hosts..
so, with God in the driver seat, you can now let go of the wheel.. sit back and relax.. enjoy the ride, brother..
