I was just thinking about how loosely I use the term 'blessing' and haven't ever really thought about what it exactly means. Jesus illustrated blessing as an action.
Mark 10:16
And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.
Today I read a wonderful description of blessing-- "There's something about Godliness that enables you to release blessing to other people. That blessing is not a cute phrase to keep them emotionally inspired for a few days. It's the transmitting, it's the imparting of the substance of another world into that life to change or empower a divine destiny."
What an amazing thought! That God would use us as a conduit of His power to release blessings upon people....just as Jesus did to the children. How do you use this word? Is it a word of power or just an eight-letter word?
