I had a minor revelation this week.

I have oftentimes heard Christians declare that they are "Blessed and highly favored."
Although it seems to usually be a hopeful statement that doesn't reflect their current situation. Essentially believing for something better to come. Which is fine.

While at work this week I realized that I was experiencing this level of grace without acknowledging it. So, I spoke it right out loud, and then texted my wife to inform her of my minor revelation. She responded with a hearty AMEN!

Maybe you are experiencing the same thing?
I want to encourage us to acknowledge when we see evidence that we are "Blessed and highly favored.", and to speak it over the challenges we face.

Several things, and on a regular basis. But I didn't put it together until these two things happened in the same week.

I drive a delivery van for work three days a week.
I pulled up to one location and went in to check things out because there was a truck at the dock already. The man inside told me that they needed to finish with this truck and then there was another truck in line before me. So, about 45 minutes to an hour wait. "I see.", I said... just as the boss walked in and saw me. He told his crew to get that truck out of the way and get me in immediately. They even helped me unload. lol

The next day I went to deliver a place and because we have had so much snow I couldn't deliver from the usual spot. I pulled around back and there was a truck in the way. So I pulled around front where we are not supposed to deliver and was about to go in and either get permission to come in the front or wheel my load around back on the sidewalk. Which would have been a real pain.

Just then someone from inside came out the front door and waved me to back my van up to their front door. They have never allowed that before. When that happened I declared, "I'm blessed and highly favored." (followed by the text to my wife)

The following day I was running late and knew that deliveries were prohibited after 4 PM at one location. But I declared "I am blessed and highly favored." over the situation. I didn't arrive until 5:18 PM. There was no issue raised. What a relief.

Right.
In most cases these negative thoughts and statements are like claim tickets.
You sniffle and someone asks you if you are sick. It's a set-up.

I often stand back in a line at the grocery store and ask someone behind me to go ahead because they have little to pay for and

Mary was a blessed and highly favoured young girl in bearing the Son of God,as her young baby and growing in stature and favor,as a young boy into a young man and then on to the cross and resurrection to bring us salvation and grace and favor of God. Yes I believe that we can experience that grace and favor in the small things of life,as well as the big things in life. We have many times prayed for a space in a busy car park and found a space 'taylor made' for us. Talking about 'taylor made',as a young Preacher,I was told by a friend to go into Burton's for a suit and it would all be paid for!

An elderly gentleman with a couple of goats used to leave a bottle of goat's milk behind his front gate every day for us and our three young children. Another used to give us a sack of potatoes when we visited.

This is curious.
When I read your post I thought, "Hmm... that's not really extraordinary."
But then I thought of how many families are broken, or at odds with one another.
What a blessing to have healthy relationships. Such favor that the Lord would bless us with a growing family. And that we would pass on our spiritual heritage to the next generation and train them to do likewise.

Thank you for the offer to contribute! Forgive my failure to recall and lower evaluation of this feature you have provided Father, thereby my lack of recall.

We here (spouse and I) in the community endure soft-persecution from the working middle-class around us. Even from other churchgoers on our street. Now when you begin to throw around things like God’s direct provisions and blessings of this sort which I have not lately, people immediately rush to comparisons and the reception doesn’t always transform an unbelieving heart. But basically, it amounts to open ostracization. Still, glad you’re tackling it here!

One that comes to mind is this day last summer which was something of a different nature and out of the ordinary, please understand I am never led to re-inspect the red-flag for pick-up on my mailbox immediately once in the house, but one day, some culprit’s repeat dash into the woods tried toying with me. For after lowering my flag found instant correction in return. It was not windy and it was not malfunctioning and never drops on its own nor has it since, but as soon as I got into the house, it was made clear to me to peek at it right away through a window to see for myself, sure-enough, it had been lowered.

So, I immediately went out to raise it and again once inside, impressed to look at it through the window only to see it had been lowered. Surely, the hooligan responsible came to differing conclusions that day than he thought he would. This happened a total of five times and not since.

But other items seem to careen to meet a need here or there till they begin to build in occurrence. You mentioned the weather. Here lately, a year or so, timing concerning conveniences to toil over my home’s landscaping needs hits several highs. Snow-blow detail early and soon there is a mid-winter thaw and dry-up. Wait without prior forecast knowledge and exert much less time on the machine.

Leaves are another thing that turned my effort into a third of what it would have. Without knowing what I was going to later do, I was impressed to drop the mower deck all the way to the turf bed and cut my yard to a stubble, then wait. Sure enough, this considerable wooded neighborhood sustained two days straight of heavy winds to strip the fall colors early.

What I found out was that my usual 400-500 lbs of leaf pick-up was reduced significantly when I again dropped the deck and use it as a 54-inch wide broom which shoved load after load all the way to the dump site. How was I to know?

I don’t doubt there are layers of this going on all the time and yours are quite prominentn while othe members of the body might give it a passing thought. Then again, if God makes certain grace to our benefit. He can certainly also make it known in the gentlest fashion imaginable.

What I was eluding to earlier was that I tend to take these graces for granted.
Not that I don't notice or appreciate them, but I was failing to acknowledge them, as I felt led to do this week. And to testify publicly on this forum and elsewhere. I will testify to my local church tomorrow.
