URI’s Media Education Lab said that it would create “counter-propaganda” to address “propaganda and misinformation concerning topics including immigration, racial justice, the coronavirus, and vaccination” and “build on top of concerns about so-called ‘fake news’ and ‘cancel culture.” The government employees using our taxpayer money for political purposes need to be prosecuted and jailed.

Here is the grant application for those who want context for the quotes. https://cdn.mrc.org/static/pdfuploa...rageous+RI+(Unredacted).pdf-1704479299785.pdf

Now as for the OP, can you explain why you feel that a project designed to fight misinformation, extremism, and community violence is anti-conservative? Especially when the grant itself makes it clear that these issues exist among the political spectrum and specifically calls out Antifa.

We went through this with the Biden truth ministry, some of the country's most prolific hoaxers and misinformation specialists were pushing a program that in fact tried to control and suppress information that did not go along with their political goals. Just like with the Supreme Court decision on student loans they try and repackage the same unethical or illegal actions. How do you claim to know what the project is designed for? Why do you accept what the grant states? Let me ask you, if Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene put out a similar grant proposal under a new Trump administration would you automatically accept what the grant said? There have been numerous examples of the suppression of free speech under the Biden regime, more than any other administration, so at least it is extremely naive to accept as fact what such a program purports to be. There's a good article below:

We went through this with the Biden truth ministry,
Which was never a thing. It was a strictly advisor body that would have issued internal guidance to the DHS on how to deal with disinformation as a national security issue.
some of the country's most prolific hoaxers and misinformation specialists were pushing a program that in fact tried to control and suppress information that did not go along with their political goals.
That's your view of things.
Just like with the Supreme Court decision on student loans they try and repackage the same unethical or illegal actions.
The SCOTUS claimed the plain language of a certain bill doesn't say what it does in order to prevent Biden from implementing a policy they disagreed with. So instead BIden looked for another pathway to do the same thing.
How do you claim to know what the project is designed for?
Because I read the grant application submitted by URI. It's not like DHS was "Here, take $700k, have fun!" URI had to submit a detailed grant application describing what the money was going to be used for. It's actually a pretty complex project with three different elements. The community program people are making a big deal about is only one of them.
Why do you accept what the grant states?
Because I have no reason to believe that URI would commit fraud by lying about why they wanted the money?
Let me ask you, if Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene put out a similar grant proposal under a new Trump administration would you automatically accept what the grant said?
I would be more concerned about why Jim Jodan and MTG were applying for a federal grant as members of Congress personally. But let's say they resigned and joined an organization that submitted such a grant with the same kind of data backing yet, then yes I would.
There have been numerous examples of the suppression of free speech under the Biden regime, more than any other administration, so at least it is extremely naive to accept as fact what such a program purports to be. There's a good article below:
If conservatives don't want to be effected by efforts to reduce disinformation, maybe they should stop using it.

It seems like this is just a standard continuation of a DHS initiative started under the Trump administration. Unless FY 2020 appropriations were under Biden??

Here's the list of 2020 grantees:

You appear to be getting upset (or at least letting Turning Point USA get you upset) about something that's been pretty much doing exactly this for the last four years and does not appear to be explicitly politically targeted. Unless you think that "propaganda and misinformation concerning topics including immigration, racial justice, the coronavirus, and vaccination" is something that only comes from conservatives.
