Three times over the past week, I've dreamt about tarantulas.
In the first dream, I opened a tin of dog food to feed my dog. The dog didn't finish the tin, so I put the half-empty tin on the kitchen worktop to save it for later. A tiny spider crawled into the tin, burrowed down in the food and began living there. It grew into a huge black and yellowtarantula-type spider. It was so big that it couldn't fit its whole body in the tin any more. One of its inch-thick, long black and yellow hairy legs was hanging out of the tin. I didn't see it at first so I picked the tin up and the leg brushed against my hand and gave me a rash.
In the second dream, I was a vet. Someone brought their sick pet tarantula for me to examine but I was too scared to go near it. I backed out of the room and asked another vet to deal with it. I was a bit outraged that someone would expect me to go near such a horrible creature, and I questioned the other vets as to whether it was really our responsibility to deal with tarantulas.
Then last night I dreamt that I was considering getting a tarantula to keep in my room for a few days. (I can't remember why). But I decided against it because they're horrible and I'd be scared and it might lay eggs in my room and then there would be loads.
What does this mean?
