Hello,

Several nights ago I had a dream that I would like to share with you guys.
I am riding a bicycle near my home and as I am riding I see a dead baby bear in the road. I dont believe I was the one to kill it, but when I saw it I knew the mother was near by, so I turned around immediatley and headed the other direction. As I was riding I turned back and saw this black bear running at me, who I believe was the mother. At this point in the dream the bear grabs my arm in it's mouth, I believe it is my right arm, as I continue to ride down the road. I am unable to get free of the bear at first, but eventually the bear lets go, I am not sure if I manage to free myself from it. Then I see this women in her front yard, not sure who she is or what she represents, and the bear starts to attack her, she seems to do a lot better of a job fending the bear off then I did. After this occurs the scene changes, and I am back at my home, but it is a home I lived in at an earlier period in my life. I am getting in my car, but the car will not start. Then a huge gray bear attacks me, possibly the father. The right hand door on front of the car is unlocked and the bear opens it, but he cannot reach me. I then proceed to fake the bear out by opening the left hand door. While the bear is going around to the left hand side, I lock the right hand door so the bear can't get in again. Then the dream ends as far as my memory goes. Any thoughts?

History repeats itself

Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

And the thing which is going to be repeated is the defeat of the Babylonian empire by Persia.

Daniel 7:5
And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

Babylon(lion) was defeated by Persia(bear) and likewise the current areas which predominantly represent the Babylonian system shall be defeated by those which represent the Persian system which is Islam.

That's how I come to conclude that these bears dreams signify the coming of an Islamic war.

for sure it's most likely different for everyone ... for me when I see a bear, it's a reminder to get centered again ... to kick back and meditate and get balanced in thought again ... like a bear in hibernation ...

in the Bible my understanding of for instance Revelation 13:2 ... bear there is the red nation(s) ...

Amos 5:19 uses bear ... that verse means no luck anywhere ... it ran out ... the verse before it is showing they're so out of step with God and so religious they don't know his Word ...

Isaiah 11:6 uses a bear ... those verses show me there are no carnivores in heaven ... no flesh body ... and that there will be animals there ...

other than that ? hope you find the answer ... I have a soft spot for bears ...

Part of the dream is a pun or play on words. The word bear is pronounced exactly the same as bare. In other words you felt weak and vulnerable in the past because of the first attace of an "old bear". I think it was an older person in your deep past who hurt or attacked you. That old bear stands for or represents a person in your early life when you were helpless. Helplessness is a continuing theme in this dream. Real bears can't open car doors. Only people can.

You said "I locked the right hand door...." The word right is pronounced the same as write. Another play or pun on words. Most people write with their right hand. You were correct or right to write about this dream! You probably used your right hand to type in or write at least part of it.

Locking the right/wright hand door is symbolic of your unconscious defense system keeping the real painfull memory from surfacing that the bears in your dream represents.

Now about the first part of your dream. Nothing is more vicious than a mother bear protecting its cub. Thus the more determined the mother bear to tear apart anything it suspects of hurting its cub. How do you know its dead? It could have been just knocked unconscious unless there was blood all over. Again vulnerability when young is a consistent theme throughout the dream. The baby bear obviously got hurt or killed because it was vulnerable when crossing the road.
Even on a bicycle it would be difficult to outrun a fully grown black bear as they are very fast. In first Samuel 17:37 David before he was king slew both a lion and a bear. It seems that there is some unfinished business from your past that effects you in the present.

Notice how in the beggining of the dream your right/write arm was bitten by the bear. Again a play on words about writing. It is right for you to write about your dreams!!! Notice my play on words and how it applies to your dream.

Also the ladies could not protect you. Again vulnerability to the bear/bare and this began from some kind of attack by an old bear in your early life.

Trauma does not just go away. There are many ways to disspate the pain from a repressed wound. Healing prayer. Look up Leeanne Paynes books on the internet or John and Paula Sandfords. They are very Christian and explain how to heal early childhood wounds. You probably still feel unprotected today as you were when you were young.

I hope this helps. Ultimately it is really only God who can do the best job of interpreting dreams. Keep praying to Him to show you the meaning.

The dead baby bear- A regret from your childhood.
Riding past- you cant go back and change anything.

Mad mother bear- something you live with today as a result of something you did as a child.

Bear attacking you and your desire to flee is fear of dealing with it?

The lady- someone you can confide in to talk to. someone ho is already prepared with experience. I was picking up there the feminine- easy to talk to and understanding. For some reason councilor came to mind a few times.

Returning home- dealing with the cause of whatever is bugging you at its root cause.

Daddy bear- root cause. Someone you trusted as a child, or a bad event?

The car represents someone who sheltered you from harm as but maybe not quite enough.

Hope that's not too weird. I just wrote what came to mind as I read it.

Unless the bear was also riding a bicycle, as they are fairly slow at that.

a reminder to get centered again
The overview of the dream is a continual shift in power, where you are facing a lot of outside forces that don't allow you a calm control.
Nothing is more vicious than a mother bear protecting its cub.

The threat wasn't even a threat any more when you first saw it. But a greater threat entered as soon as you noticed the first.

In a work situation, this might be like a bill that wasn't paid and someone covered it, but then in doing taxes you realized you had to figure out how to record it correctly. A danger that increases after it collapses.

The lady- someone you can confide in to talk to. someone ho is already prepared with experience. I was picking up there the feminine- easy to talk to and understanding. For some reason councilor came to mind a few times.
Look at your emotions in the dream, how you felt about each character. At this point in the dream it might have been more about how you felt than who she was.

When I get bear dreams, which is rarely, it's usually when things related to work or normal life feel out of control. Too many invasions on my stability.
