I rented the whole mini-series and spent the weekend watching it over a year ago. Its a good pictoral of soldiers in training and in war. I enjoyed the movie, the historical aspects of the 101st Airborne from training to post war occupation to include their liberating a concentration camp. Mainly I enjoyed and was drawn to the closeness of the squad, the interaction of the soldiers between themselves. I am a veteran and it reminded me of how close the guys in my platoon was when I was in. I miss that bond.

If your going to do the whole series in one shot, be prepared to spend a day in fron of the tv. The movie deals with the fear of combat, death, loss of a friend, boredom, exhaustion, etc. It has fast paced action and has "dry" spots where it gets slow some but I dont remember any nudity/sex. There is war violence of course and profanity as well dealing with the dead and survivors of the concentration camp.

Has anyone in here watched the Band of Brothers? If so, how was it? What is it rated for besides violence? Sex/nudity? Lots of swearing? Is there a rating?
It was incredible. I borrowed the DVD set from my grandpop and watched the whole thing over the course of a few weeks, and I loved it. And it's pretty realistic, so you're going to hear some swearing every once in a while, and yes there was a brief sex part. But that's just life, you know? I highly recommend watching it. :)

I've got the whole thing on my computer, and WOW! I love the series. It's an amazing portrayal of the key battles and months that the 101st spent during their existance through the war. The interviews with some of the surviving members at the start are very poignant, especially when they talk about their friends. It's heartbreaking at times and other times very humourous. It really gives you a better respect for what occured throughout the whole war in their eyes.

Though, I must say, I actually haven't seen the last episode yet. Everytime we sit down for a marathon, people get tired of it around the 8th episode - around 8.5-9 hours.
