I've been to many AoG churches and have never seen any official clerical clothing. It's usually just a business suit, sometimes less formal than that. I really don't know if they have, historically, worn any special clothing or not, though I highly doubt it. I've seen choir robes on the choir, but that's it. As to why, it's probably because the AoG and similar churches are pretty far removed from any kind of formal liturgy.

I went to one church in the 1980's where the preacher wore a kind of clerical robe. I think his rationale was that a lot of people in that area grew up in churches where the preachers or priests wore clerical garb. We'd been going to a very fundamentalist AOG in another state, and when we went there for the first time, one of us asked, "Did we go to the right church?"

In the US, the AOG comes from a background that isn't into formal liturgy. Pentecostals generally haven't been historically. I don't know about Dowie' church in Illinois, but they contributed some preachers to the early AOG. Lots of Christian and Missionary Alliance churches switched over to AOG in the years after Azusa. There were also a lot of independent congregations formed after the Azusa Street revival that joined in.

That was the only time I've seen it. I haven't spent a lot of time in AOGs overseas. Yoido Full Gospel used to be AOG, or maybe is now. I don't remember. I think Yonggi Cho wore a suit. I can't remember if the choir wore robes or not. I think they wore suits at that other AOG I visited in Korea. I don't think I've been to an AOG in SouthEast Asia, but the affiliate of the COG in one country typically have preachers that wear suits. I have seen some clerical collars on Charismatic preachers of other denominations, though.

Something that I thought was really weird to me was seeing a woman wearing a black outfit with a clerical collar and a skirt. The whole outfit together was just weird to me since I hadn't seen women in clerical collars before that.

"I'd like to know about the clerical wear in your Aog church/country."

There isn't any "Clerical Wear". Jerry (Senior pastor) will present himself in a suit, or in Jeans and a pullover.

"Does your ministers wear any type of clerical clothes?"

No - there's no reason to - so he doesn't.

My senior pastor also sports the name Jerry.

"Does your ministers wear any type of clerical clothes? Yes or no."

NO - in Texas they tend to dress casually.

"then why?"

There's absolutely no reason NOT to dress in normal clothes.

Simple as that.

Paranthetic: In the Cowboy Churches (Baptist, generally) here in Dallas, the normal preaching garb is a flannel shirt, jeans, Cowboy boots, and a western hat which is worn at all times EXCEPT during prayer. OF course everybody in the congregation dresses the same way also -

we were always told that to remove ones hat is respectful ...associated with being in a state of prayer .. and thus to never wear it indoors ..and certainly to never wear it in church ever .
Not rule you understand .. just a thing .lol

Some COGIC pastors will wear more traditional clerical vestments. They have bishops who wear purple and have clerical collars if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure when they started wearing traditional vestments. I know it was a later trend and that the founders of the COGIC would not have dressed in such a way.

the what ?

The COGIC is the acronym for the Church of God in Christ, the largest historically black Pentecostal church in the United States.

Very tidy khakis with belt, collared shirt, dress shoes.

I like the idea of the cleric collar, because newcomers don't know who the pastor is until the sermon begins. Also in a more public situation like a funeral, it is sometimes important for the family to get the attention of the officiator for timing or additional information. Overall, I think people are more likely to ask for prayer when they see an official mark of clergy.
