The Izzie storyline is rather goofy. While I enjoy seeing Denny - the storyline is just not believable. I think they made a big mistake killing off Denny when they did and they're trying to make up for it, but its too little too late.

I think they're having an off year this year as far as storylines go. Hopefully they'll get back on track soon.

I don't mean to be the negative one of the thread, but I've never given that show the time of day in my house. Since it's inception, GA has been filled with raunchy scenes, a who's sleeping with who style, and most recently the who lesbian thing. Don't get me wrong, I've had my share of watching things that I know should not be turned on, but GA just seems to be way too much from what I'm told and have seen in bits and pieces.

I think this thread having so few responses midway through the season is evidence of how far Grey's Anatomy has fallen.

And I agree that the whole thing with Izzie is a bad plot line, I wish they'd hurry up and give us the punch line. My guess is that Izzy will be found to have some type of aneurysm.

Which reminds me of a review I read of how Grey's Anatomy has run out of ideas and is now shamelessly stealing ideas from other ABC shows. If Izzy does have an aneurysm it seems to be stealing directly from Eli Stone and the autistic heart surgeon seems directly copied from the lawyer in Boston Legal. I'm hoping they can get back on track but I'm worried they are out of ideas.

I don't think they made a mistake in killing off Denny when they did; we all loved him, and so our hearts were all broken with Izzie's.

Even though I LOVE that show, I haven't been watching it lately. when I have watched it, it's just bored me. Blah.

I've watched the show since Day 1 as well. (Actually, I was part of an ABC community who voted on the name! -- Complications would have been a dumb name for the show.)

This is absolutely an off year... and I knew it would be as soon as Christina was impaled by the icicle that didn't melt...

I'm hoping it gets better... but in the meantime I'm more excited about Private Practice.

Saw today this article which claims that Katherine Heigl (Izzy Stevens) and T.R. Knight (George O'Malley) are both leaving the show, the information was leaked by James Picken, Jr. (the Chief).

I've been disappointed with how far they've made Izzy so completely unbelievable this season, I'm hoping they don't kill her off. I also have missed seeing George have an active role this season, I thought his character added a bit of "normal". I think both will be missed.

Yeah, I've read the same thing. I have a feeling that they will kill Izzy off. They've revealed that she's sick, so that would be a way to allow her to exit the show. Either that, or she could be shipped off somewhere.

As for T.R. Knight, what I read said that he didn't think he gets enough screen time, which I would agree with. Here lately I've been wondering what's going on with George. They hardly ever show him anymore.

Anybody miss old school Grey's? I'm talking like maybe 2nd season, that was the best.
Yes! Second season was funny, emotional, and teary at the end of almost every episode. I do miss that.

I also read about Heigl leaving the show and the implied possibility of killing Izzy off. The only problem is, as I see it, Izzy has gotten so out there this year, she doesn't have that connection with the audience for a rip your heart out character demise.
I mean, even though I stopped watching E.R. 6 years ago, I still remember Dr. Greene's final episode, and still get choked up. I don't see that happening with Izzy.
